[Elena is lying on the couch again, while Matt and Stefan are cooking in the kitchen.]

“I’m being over coddled. I feel completely fine” elena says. “You’re on house arrest. You’re supposed to be coddled” stefan tells her “Wouldn’t it be smarter if we just got you the hell out of town?” matt asks. “And do what? Go on the run for the rest of my life? No thank you” she starts and gets up. “And I’m not an invalid. I’m done with the couch”s he says and leaves the room “So, you’re just gonna let her call the shots?” matt asks. “Letting her make her own decisions” he says. “Even if they’re wrong?” matt asks.

"Nothing wrong with free will, Matt. Trust me, you don’t realize that till you lose it” stefan sighs. “Stefan” elena calls when she sees me. Stefan and Matt look towards the front doorway and see me standing in it. “Elijah” stefan breaths. “Hello again” i smile.

[Elijah, Matt, Stefan, and Elena are together in the kitchen.]

“All we need is to take that stake away from him. Once it’s been disarmed, the weapon’s in my possession, my family will scatter to the ends of the Earth and Alaric will follow us” i tell them. “And you’ll just run?” Stefan asks as he sits next to Elena. “We’ve done it before. Klaus and Rebekah spent the better part of a thousand years evading my father. What’s another half century while Elena is able to live out the rest of her natural life?” i ask,
“We’ve finally stopped him, Elijah. After everything that he’s done to us, I can’t just let you bring him back” she says,  “You may have taken him out but you did the same to your sister. if alaric finds him and kills him for good you're sister dies along with him. I give you my word, Elena. I will not revive Klaus within yours nor even within your children’s lifetimes. Perhaps that will finally teach him some manners” i tell her. “she doesn't give a crap about me so why should i care if she dies?” she asks. “she cares more than you know. when she found out you were alive she snapped stefans neck for keeping you being alive from her. she cried and then when damon said you didn't know she was gone because you were too worried about stefan she died inside thinking you abandoned her, forgot about her, cared more about stefan than your own blood. she sided with klaus not only because if the mate bond but because he will never abandon her. she cried herself to sleep at night because she couldn't tell you you are an auntie because she thought you would hurt him to get at klaus and now since you took her out you're nephew has no parents to raise him. he’s only 7 months old and already lost both parents. do you really want layla to miss the only thing she has ever wanted because of you and do you want mason to never know his real parents like you and your sister went through?” i ask. she has tears in her eyes “i never knew” she says voice cracking. i hand her a picture of mason and layla. she smiles “he’s just like his mother” she whispers. “Do we have a deal” i ask. “No! No, no, no, no. Did I mention NO?” damon says over the phone. “Elena, it’s up to you” stefan says. “Oh, come on!” damon says. “We have a deal” she sighs. i wave my hand and one of my compelled humans walk in with mason in her arms. “take care of him till layla comes i’m sure she will find a way to get back to him” i say and the girl hands him to elena. she takes him and hugs him to her chest. she kisses his head and i leave.
