Devi opened her eyes, looking up at her ceiling. She sat quietly, trying to listen to see if there was any movement outside. She got up and walked over to her window. She opened the blinds, and still, nothing. Everything was still painfully quiet. It had been two days since the incident, and her hope that everyone would come back soon remained strong. On that day, she had to drag herself out of the sewer catch- which was a large net put in place in the sewers to catch dead animals (and in this case, abandoned little girls) and walk herself home. All the security robots were gone. All that was left was the result of all the carnage. Dead bodies all over the streets, blood splattered everywhere. 'Maybe I was left here for a reason. Everything happens for a reason right?' she thought, going on to do her morning routine. This consisted of taking a shower (that sewer smell still wasn't gone) and making coffee, then scouting the area. So far, she's gone as far as her local library- and hasn't found anyone. At time she thought of it as a really mean game of hide and seek. She was trying to find everyone, but not one person showed up.
Devi went into the living room and sat down on the couch, and turned on her phone. It still said, "Reach the Stars" on it, so she threw it to the side. She looked at the ceiling again, and crossed her arms. 'I wonder where Miles is.' She thought. Even after what he did to her, she couldn't help but worry about him sometimes.
Meanwhile
Miles opened the door to his step-father's study, then walked over to the desk. He sat down, then opened the drawers. "Come on Quinn. I know you're not stupid." Miles said while he dug through the draws. All he found was papers with finances, but nothing about Canada or any blueprints. The boy sucked his teeth while digging through. His silver eyes scanned all the papers he pulled out of the draws. He picked up one of the papers, and read through it. "Come on guy." Miles opened up another draw, where there was a small burgundy leather notebook. He opened it, and read the first entry.

Katherine told me to adopt a child, because it would distract the public. And it worked. They're focused on me, but more so on the child. His name is Miles. I can tell he doesn't like me, and is already quite the spoiled brat. But hell, he's gonna be our savior one day. I know his ability. As a vitra, I know he won't let his happen.
His eyes immediately widened. "Amra!" Miles yelled, getting up abruptly. As expected, Amra came running through the halls. She stopped at the door frame where he beckoned her over. "Look at this." He handed the papers over to his secretary. "What is-" "Read it!" Amra's golden eyes scanned the paper thoroughly. "How could he possibly know that you're a-" "I don't know."
