[Ben's POV]

I got Lonnie to swipe some cash for me to buy a Vespa scooter. It was blue and green, as you might expect, and two helmets with the two intertwining dragons, each coloured green and black, respectively. As the cashier rung up my order, I glanced around the shop, looking for smaller stuff to 'buy'. Then I saw the surveillance camera. I turned around, my body blocking the view of the camera, and I took off my beanie. I used it to cover a ball of cash outside of the register and pocketed both my beanie and the cash. The cashier came back out and told me where the scooter was. Oddly, enough, he didn't ask me for my license. I suppose in Auradon, everyone drove 'responsibly'. I went out the back and there it was. My very own scooter. Polished, shiny, and oiled. I stood there for a couple minutes, wondering where on earth was this thing when I wanted it on the Isle. I stored the two helmets in the box like thing in the back and drove off. I nearly crashed into a tree once, and a lamp post thrice. It was really a miracle that I was still alive. I really needed more time to practice how to drive, so I wouldn't kill Mal on the way. Second thought, mother would never even blink at the idea of killing the heir to the throne. Then I arrived at Auradon Prep, where Mal was waiting for me. Any thoughts of killing her immediately vanished, along with a conversation I imagined. It was something along the lines of, You're just like your stupid, weak human father. Typical Maleficent.

"New scooter?" Mal raised an eyebrow.

"Yep. Like it?"

"It's okay."

"So, um, Mal, do you, um, want to, um, go on a date with me?"

"Sure, i'd love to. When?"

"Tomorrow, I'll pick you up?"

"You know where I live?"

"Nope. That was going to be my second question."

"I live in the dorms, along with Evie."

"Oh, okay. I know where it is now."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye." talking with her always gave me a sort of, warm fluttery feeling inside. I didn't like it. I will not be like my weak, human father, who left my mother care for me herself. Well, berate is more accurate.

[Mal's POV]

"Ben asked me out!" I squealed, "On a date!"

"Okay. I have just the right dress for it." Evie magicked the dress onto me, even though magic was strictly frowned upon. It was a knee length purple. It wasn't too fluffy in a way that made it hard to walk, yet it wasn't shabby at all either.

"Love it!" I ran over to give her a hug, but she stopped me.

"Nuh-uh. It'll ruin the dress." she wagged her finger at me.

"Oh, come on."

"Fine." she came to my side and gave me a quick side hug.

A loud knock sounded from towards the door. Evie went over and opened it.

"You like bikes?" Ben cradled two helmets in his arms.

[Ben's POV]

We sped along the roughly paved roads along the mountains to the Enchanted Lake. I was able to find a pathway after finding the ball. As we rounded a sharp bend, the scooter tilted to the right, in such a way Mal clung to me harder.

"Scared?" I smirked even though she couldn't see it.

She didn't say anything in response, but I knew she sensed it when she swatted me on the shoulder. We arrived at the Enchanted Lake, and Mal's eyes widened at the sight of the picnic I prepared.

"Not bad." Mal said.

"I know."

We sat down and she started snacking on strawberries. I picked up a round pastry apparently called a 'donut', and bit into it. Some of the 'jelly', as they call it, got onto my face. Mal looked at me for a few seconds, and then starting laughing.

"Does this happen often? On the Isle?" Mal questioned.

"We don't date. Well, rarely. It's more like... gang activity. You know, stealing and threatening, nothing much."

"Erm.. I meant, do you eat jelly donuts often?"

"Oh.. um, no. You guys sort of dump your leftovers and the goblins sell it."

"Right.." the date went from nice, to weird, to fun, and then, to awkward. I cleared my throat.

"Well, I am going for a swim." I declared. I took off my letter jacket and jeans, revealing a dark blue pair of swim trunks with me and my mother's signature symbol shrunken down of the double dragon decorating them. I ran over to the other side where the deeper end of the lake was.

"Are those dragons on your trunks?" she called to me.

"Maybe." I yelled. I did my best imitation of a dragon's roar and dived in. I stayed swimming underwater for about 30 seconds. I was close to a large forbidding cave, but I went in anyways. Hey, that's what you get for being the son of the once most feared villain in Auradon. And what exactly is that? A lifetime of wearing torn leather clothes and a practice of pranking the people in Dragon Hall. I found a nice crystal rock that was perfectly smooth and glowing and put it down on the ground in front of me. I sat down and started singing. (A/N: I tried to find one that sounded like Jeff Lewis, a.k.a. the person who sung all of Ben's songs, but to no avail. Also, all rights reserved to whoever made this)

And we shall end it right there! Thanks for reading, don't forget to let me know what you think and follow me! 😉
