The first half of the day seemed to drag on, so when lunchtime came around, Andrew was relieved.
Well, relieved and nervous. He hadn't seen Ben since that previous Friday, and he was planning on sitting with him at lunch to talk to him more about his sexuality.
The lunch bell rang loudly over the speaker and Andrew practically ran out of the classroom to the cafeteria. He sat down at his usual table, impatiently waiting for Ben to come into the lunchroom. He kept checking around him to make sure none of his friends were around, but felt his heart sink when they all showed up and sat around him.
"Why are you so on edge babe?" Ella asked, sitting next to her boyfriend.
Andrew turned to Ella "Nothing. I'm not." he said frantically.
Ella rolled her eyes "If you say so."
Andrew kept looking for Ben, but didn't see him. Even after the bell rang for lunch to officially start.~
Ben decided against going to lunch that day. He couldn't handle being embarrassed by sitting alone since his friends from theatre had the other lunch periods. He sighed and sat down in the empty black box, since he knew his theatre teacher, Ms. McDaniels, was on her lunch break. He sat in the corner and ate his small lunch that he got from his moms house, even though he was hungry for more than what he had.
When Ben was at his moms, his lunch was never nearly as big as the ones from his dads house due to the smaller salary his mother made.
Ben started on his lunch, startled as the door to the black box swung open. He stood up to be face to face with the handsome, tall quarterback.
"Andrew? What are you doing in here?" Ben asked with a whisper.
"I needed to find you. I knew you'd be in here." He said, flicking on the rest of the lights so more than just one lamp was on.
"What do you want?" Ben asked the taller boy.
"I just- I don't know what to do. I'm gay, but I have a girlfriend. And if anyone finds out, i'm screwed. My parents will hate me, I won't have any friends! I'm freaking out, man!" He said, his voice rushed.
"You know what, I don't know what to do for you. I really don't. But, for now, I can be the only one that knows. And I can help you figure this out, okay? So don't panic, because you're not going to lose any friends. You'll just make a new one." Ben said offering Andrew a small smile.
Andrew nodded and then sighed "Thanks, Ben. You're truly a lifesaver."~
Andrew spent the whole lunch period eating with Ben on the floor of the black box. They laughed and got to know each other. As it turns out, they had a lot more in common than anyone could anticipate.
They both loved the Harry Potter movies (they were both Hufflepuffs, obviously). They both tried to be nice to everyone, and they both had a small crush one someone they knew would never happen. For Ben, the guy he liked was way out of his league. And for Andrew, he would be laughed out of the school if he was seen with the boy he liked.
But little did they know how well things would work out in the end. And that they both would find the love of their lives, through black and white, and thick and thin.~
This part was short, i'm sorry guys i'm so bad at actually putting more than 600 words in a part YEET.
