~Aarmau 21~

"Aaron she's ten now.. but obviously you wouldn't know that because you're too busy with work!!" Aph screamed at her husband Aaron "Why! Why can't you try to be there tonight!! Lilith got the lead role in the play!! She was so excited she wants you to be there!!"
"I get that Aph!! But I'm trying to provide for us!!." Aaron stated.
"Aaron you don't need to work all the time though! You deserve some break!!" Aph said. "Ever since you found out I was pregnant with Lilith, you've been working nonstop! Trust me, I love how much you care but you're working yourself to death!!"
"I'll see what I can do okay...?" Aaron says.
"You always say that....." Aph said, a little hurt in her voice.
"I... love you Aph..."
"I love you too dear..."
"I promise I'll try..."
"Okay..." Aph said with a sigh as she hung up the phone and Lilith came downstairs, already in her princess costume, and looked at Aph hopefully.
"Well...?" Lilith said "Is daddy coming....?"
"He will try his hardest okay..?" Aph said.
Lilith sighed and pouted her lips.
"Lil.... Hun.." Aph bent down to her daughter as a small tear hit the floor.
"He never shows up.. he's barley home on the weekend..." Lilith began to say.
"Shhhhh baby girl it's okay... We can talk to him tonight.." Aph said
"What will that help.."
"We can convince him to change for us.. For the family.." Aph said. "Now don't cry. The princess of friendship doesn't cry on her big days!"
"You're right mommy..." Lil said as she wiped away her tears and hugs Aph.
*Aaron's point of view*
I rapidly type out my charity donation to a orphanage then immediately set to work on scheduling for my staff.
"I can't be late or Aph will divorce me.." I say to myself, knowing it's not what she said but what she meant.
"Mr. Lycan??" Katelyn, my assistant come in.
"Yes?" I ask in response almost naturally.
"Your daughters play will start in an hour do you want me to take over for you..?" She asks, she is Aph's best friend and basically Lil's aunt after all.
"No.. I can do this.." I say confidently.
"Are you sure."
"Yes."
"Anything else I can do for you sir??" She asks.
"What's on my schedule for next month?" I ask.
"Um.. Nothing sir..?" She eyes me curiously.
"Good. Keep it that way. Next month is spring break for Lilith and I plan to make it special for both her and Aph.." I state firmly.
"Will do sir, I won't let anything disturb your family while I'm vacation." Katelyn says equally as firm.
"Thank you." I say as I finish my files. "Lock up for me please?"
She nods "Will do sir." I take my leave running to my truck as fast as I could. I look at my watch; still 15 minutes before show time.
*Aph's point of view*
"Your gonna do great hun!" I say as I usher Lil inside. She nods, still thinking about Aaron I can tell.. But I can't blame her, he does mean the world to her, to us.. She runs to back stage when my phone vibrates. I look down to see a text from Aaron.
On my way babe, save me a seat? 8)
Quickly I type back.
Will do. ;)
*third person point of view*
Aaron walks in, finding Aph near the front row, he sits next to her taking her hand and kissing it.
"Hey.."
"Shhh it's starting!" Aph said as she pulled out her phone for a camera.
*About an hour or so later*
Aaron was the first to get home, followed by Aph and Lil.
"So I have big news." He stated when the walked in. Lil ran to him and he picked her up hugging her while looking at Aph.
"What is it?" Aph asks.
"I'm taking all of next month off. So we can enjoy spring break as a family, like it should be." He says.
"YAY!!" Lil yells kissing Aaron's cheek.
"Aar that's wonderful." Aph says.
"Let me finish." He says pulling aph to him. "I'm no longer gonna work as frequently.. I want to be here for the big things." He says, and both aph and Lil squeal with joy. Aph kisses him and he kisses back, holding his family.
