Chapter 3

   During the flight, Yuzuru fell asleep. I looked at his sleeping figure and smiled.

   He looks so peaceful, I thought. He shifted a bit, and his head fell on my shoulder. I stiffened a little and looked at him. Yup, he was asleep. I looked at Javier, and he was also asleep. I closed my eyes and sighed. I didn't mean to, but I fell asleep as well.

Time Skip

   "Y/N, wake up. We landed," Yuzuru said. I opened my eyes and saw Yuzuru shaking my shoulders. I groaned and closed my eyes again before taking off my seatbelt and getting up. Yuzuru gave me my bag, and we headed out of the plane.

   "Where's Javier?" I asked. Yuzuru looked at me.

   "He went to get our bags from the luggage spinny thing," he said. I laughed and looked at him.

   "'Luggage spinny thing'?" I asked. He looked at me again and smiled.

   "Pooh San is in your bag, just so you know," he said. I raised my eyebrow and opened up my bag. Yup, Pooh was in there. I sighed and took Pooh out. He raised his eyebrow, and I gave Pooh to him.   

   "Here. He's your, not mine," I said. He frowned and took Pooh. I smiled and took Pooh back. I put Pooh in my bag and put my bag on my back. Yuzuru smiled and put an arm around my shoulder.

   "Thank you!" He said cutely. I smiled and nodded at him. We walked to the 'luggage spinny thing' and saw Javier. Yuzuru let go of me and walked to Javier, taking his bag and mine. He walked back to me and gave me my bag.

   "Thank you," I said, taking my bag from him. Javier walked towards us with his phone in his hand. 

   "Coach texted and said that he would be here to pick us up in a few minutes," he said. I nodded and looked at Yuzuru. He was biting his lip. 

   "Okay," he said. We waited outside for a few minutes, and Coach Brian drove up in a white van.

   "Get in," Coach said, taking our bags and putting them in the back. Javier rushed to the front seat, and Yuzuru and I sat in the back.

   "Are you nervous?" I asked him. He looked at me and shook his head. I raised my eyebrow.

   "I can't be nervous. After all, I have to win that gold medal for you," he said, winking at me. I rolled my eyes, nut on the inside, I was blushing. Javier turned to us and smiled.

   "You two are going to be a great couple," he said, turning back around as Coach got in the van. 

   "To the Finlandia Trophy we go!" Coach said. I laughed and looked at Yuzuru. He looked at me and smiled back.

   "Are you ready?" I asked Yuzuru. He nodded and smiled. I nodded.

   "Are you ready?" He asked me. I raised my eyebrow.

   "Me? Why would I need to be ready?" I asked him. He smirked and sat up straighter.

   "Ready to see my awesome skating skills. Just be careful, you might faint at the sight of me landing my salchow," he said. I rolled my eyes and started to dramatically fan myself.

   "Oh, that jump was so divine! I feel like I'm going to faint!" I said. He laughed and Javier turned to look at us.

   "Okay you lovebirds, I want peace and quiet. Okay? I want to sleep," he said. I rolled my eyes and started to talk really loudly.

   "I hope you do really good Yuzuru! You'll surely win the gold medal!" I said. Javier frowned and rolled his eyes. Yuzuru smiled and played along.

   "Really? Thank you Y/N! You are a really good friend!" He said, also really loudly. Coach laughed and looked at Javier. 

   "Sorry," he said. Javier sighed and closed his eyes. Yuzuru and I laughed, and I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. Sadly, I couldn't sleep, so I just pretended to sleep.

   "Do you like her?" Coach asked Yuzuru. 

   "Who?" Yuzuru asked. Coach chuckled.

   "You know who, Y/N," Coach said. Yuzuru laughed and sighed. There was silence after that. I pretended to sleep the whole way to the competition. When we got there, Yuzuru "woke" me up.

   "Y/n, we're here. It's time to get up," he said softly. I opened my eyes and looked at Yuzuru. He smiled at me, and I smiled back. Coach and Javier were already outside. I got out of the car and followed them into the building. I gasped when we walked in. There were a lot of skaters. Some were in their uniforms, and some were in regular clothes. I looked at Yuzuru.

   "Are you going to change?" I asked him. He looked at me and nodded. I nodded and followed Coach to the seats for the skaters.

   "Okay. If a skater gets hurt, just walk on the ice and help them, okay?" He said. I nodded and sat down next to Pooh. Yuzuru and Javier went to go change. I sat there until they both came back to practice. I stood up and went to the wall separating the ice and the floor. Yuzuru picked Pooh up and put him beside me. He pet Pooh's head and then mine. The girls screamed when he did that. I rolled my eyes at him and he smiled.

   "Wish me luck practicing," he said. I smiled and gave him a thumbs up.

   "You can do it!" I said cheerfully. He smiled and went to go practice. After the practice, and after a few skaters went, it was Yuzuru's turn. He took a deep breath and looked at me.

   "I'll win that medal for you," he said. I smiled at him and nodded. Honestly, I thought I was more nervous than him. He went on the ice and went into position. The music started, and he started to skate. He did his first jump, and he landed it. I don't know why, but my heart started to flutter. I smiled after he finished his routine. He was the first on the board. 

   "You're first!" I said, hugging him when he got to me. He smiled and hugged me back.

   "I told you. I'm going to win that medal for you," he whispered. My heart fluttered again. After a long time of waiting, they finally announced the winners. Third place was Javier, second place was Richard Dornbush, and first place... was Yuzuru. I turned to Yuzuru and hugged him. Girls screamed again.

   "You did it!" I said. Yuzuru laughed and went with Javier to gat their medals. When they got back, Yuzuru handed me his medal and leaned in close to my face.

   "This is for you," he said. I blushed and looked him in the eyes. I smiled a little and my heart was about to explode.

   Yuzuru, I think I like you, I thought.
