I looked at him and shook my head.
"Y- Yuzu?" I asked, stepping closer to him. He didn't move.
"Yes," he whispered. I shook my head, unable to process what happened. I stepped closer to him, squinting a bit.
"It really is you," I whispered, looking to the ground. Yuzuru took my chin and made me look at him. He smiled and nodded, leaning in close to me.
"Yes," he breathed. I could feel his breath on my face. He leaned in closer, and I tensed up. His lips were centimeters from mine, when he pulled away, clearing his throat. I blushed when I realized what almost happened. I cleared my throat and smiled at him. He smiled back and stepped closer to me, hugging me. I hugged him back, still blushing.
"Are you okay?" He whispered, hugging me tighter. I smiled and nodded.
"Yes," I said. He smoothed my hair and breathed out.
"That's good. I was so worried," he said. I giggled.
"Why?" I asked. I felt him shook his head.
"I was scared you got hurt. If that man hit you..." he said, his voice trailing off.
"What?" I asked, frowning a bit. He sighed.
"He would be in big trouble," he said. I giggled and sighed.
"Probably," I said. All of a sudden, the mood was more calm.
"I missed you. A lot," he whispered in my ear. I smiled and hugged him tighter.
"I know," I said softly. He broke the hug, grinning. I cocked my head, unable to understand why he was grinning.
"What?" I asked, raising my eyebrow. He grinned even wider and reached up to squeeze my cheeks.
"You're so cute! Kawaii!" He said, letting go of my cheeks. I blinked a few times before reaching up to touch my cheek.
"That hurt," I said playfully. His smile immediately disappeared as he reached out to examine my face.
"I'm sorry! A- are you hurt?" He asked. I shook my head and grinned at him.
"No!" I said cheerfully. I looked up at him.
Gosh, I thought. I didn't realize he was so tall...
Yuzuru cleared his throat. I automatically looked away, realizing that I was staring at him. I coughed and tapped my chest a bit. Yuzuru automatically rushed to my side, rubbing my back.
"Are you okay?" He asked, concern in his words. I looked at him and smiled.
"Yes, I'm fine," I said. I coughed again, and I put my hand to my mouth to cover it. Yuzuru frowned and rubbed my back again.
"Are you really okay?" He asked. I nodded and smiled at him.
"Yes, I'm fine. Really," I said. I put my hand down, but I put it down, I saw something red on it. I turned my hand a bit, and I saw it. Blood. My eyes widened and I looked at Yuzuru.
"Um, we can go to my house, if you want. I mean, if you're not staying at a hotel or something," I said a little urgent. Yuzuru looked at me and smiled.
"Sure," he said. I wiped the blood on my pants, heading out the alley. I motioned Yuzuru to follow me. He jogged up to me, walking beside me.
"So," I said, "have you won any competitions lately?" I asked, attempting to break the awkward silence. Yuzuru nodded.
"Yeah. I've won a few," he said, smiling a little. I nodded.
"Is Javier here, too?" I asked. He looked at me and smirked.
"Yeah. Why? Do you like him?" He asked, curiosity in his voice. I shook my head and laughed.
"No! Why would I? He's like a big brother to me!" I exclaimed. Yuzuru nodded and pursed his lips.
"Well, do you like someone else?" He asked. I opened my mouth to speak, but I couldn't find an answer to his question.
"Um, well, kind of? I mean, I used to like someone, but I don't know if I still do like them. You know?" I said, trying not to stutter. He nodded.
"Oh, I see..." he said, his voice a little sad.
Huh, I thought. Weird...
Yuzuru smiled, but it looked a little sad, too. I knit my brows together and looked at the ground.
"Do you like someone?" I asked, kicking a pebble on the sidewalk. Yuzuru stayed silent for a little.
"Yes," he whispered. I nodded.
"Do I know them?" I asked. Yuzuru looked at me and nodded.
"Yes," he said. I knit my brows again, thinking of all the possibilities. He smiled, and I frowned a little.
"You must really like her, huh?" I said, nudging him playfully. He looked at me, smiling.
"Yeah," he said. I smiled.
Awwww! He's so cute when he likes someone! I thought. I then shook my head. Just the adorable cute. Just the adorable cute, Y/N.
"So, who is she?" I asked, looking at him. He smirked at me and shook his head.
"Nope! Not telling you!" He said, crossing his arms over his chest. I laughed and rolled my eyes. Then I coughed again. I put my hand over my mouth again. I pulled it back and sneakily checked it when Yuzuru wasn't looking. Yup. Blood. I frowned and took a deep breath.
"Are you alright?" Yuzuru asked, stopping and rubbing my back. I nodded and wiped my hand on my pants again, since my pants were black.
"I'm fine," I said, clearing my throat. Yuzuru nodded, but he was frowning.
"Okay then," he said. We continued to walk, this time in silence. I cleared my throat and looked at Yuzuru. I bit my lip and thought of what to say.
"So, do you know your score from today?" I asked, in attempt to break the very awkward silence. Yuzuru nodded.
"Yeah," he said. I frowned a little. I shook my head and made a 'tsk' sound. Yuzuru looked at me, and I sighed.
"Did you get first place?" I asked. He nodded and grinned at me.
"Yup! Javier got second, I believe," he said, tapping his chin in thought. I nodded and looked at my hand again. I knit my brows and thought of all the possibilities for my coughing of blood. We reached my house, and I got my key out. I opened the door and let Yuzuru in. He smiled and went in. Nicole was on the couch.
"Y/N!" She yelled and rushed over to hug me. Then she saw Yuzuru. Her eyes widened and she knit her brows together.
"Yuzuru Hanyu?" She asked, blinking a few times. Yuzuru smiled and bowed at her.
"Yes. Hello, Nicole," he said. She smiled and waved at him.
"Hello! What brings you here?" She asked excitingly.
"Well, I saved Y/N from getting attacked," he said. Nicole's jaw dropped.
"WHAT?! ATTACKED?!" She yelled. I winced and nodded a vit. Then I began coughing again.
"Excuse me," I said, rushing into the bathroom. I shut the door and leaned over the sink. I coughed again, and blood splattered all over the sink. I turned the water on and began to wash the blood off. I coughed again and began to wheeze a little. I felt a little dizzy, and I began to see black spots covering my vision. I could feel myself falling. No.
"Help," I whispered as I hit the ground. Yuzuru came rushing in as blood started to drip from my mouth. The last thing I saw was Yuzuru kneeling down, his eyes filled with fear and concern.
1247 words! Yay! I'm sorry for the very slow updates. I will try to update faster. Also, the fire was actually not real. Um, it was an accident, just like I thought it was. I'm also very sorry for the really bad chapter. I couldn't think of anything good, I guess. Anyways, have a wonderful day!
