Yuzuru's POV
Exactly one hour and thirty minutes later, I woke up in New York. I looked at Javier and nodded. He nodded back. I took a deep breath as the pilot made an announcement.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your pilot speaking, we have arrived in New York City, New York. The current time is 6:30 P.M. Please do not stand up until the aircraft has made a complete stop and the seatbelt sign is off. Have a wonderful trip, and we hope you will fly with us again, thank you," he said. I tapped my foot as the plane slowly made its way to its spot.
Why is it taking so long? I thought, looking at Coach, who was in the row beside me. He sighed.
"Patience, Yuzuru," he said softly. I frowned but nodded.
How did he know what I was thinking? I thought again. Coach sighed.
"Your body language shows it all, Yuzuru," he said, looking at me. I froze and looked at him. He smiled softly. I swallowed and looked back at the seat in front of me. I felt a hand squeeze my shoulder reassuringly. I looked back at Javier and raised my eyebrow. He sighed.
"It's going to be alright," he said. I nodded.
The plane finally stopped, and the seatbelt sign turned off. I took off my seatbelt, as did many others. I stood up eagerly and got in line to get out of the plane. Unfortunately, we were at the very back, so it took a very long time to get out. I stood in the line patiently, people in front of me getting their bags from the overhead bin.
"Javier, can you see where the front of the line is?" I asked, leaning to the right to try to see the exit. Javier hummed.
"Um, no, I don't think I can," he said, looking to the left of the line. I sighed and heard a scoff behind me. I looked behind me at the person who scoffed.
"Look, kid, everyone's waiting in line. You shouldn't be complaining about it," the man said. I blinked at him.
"Um, I'm not really complaining..." I said softly. The man scoffed again.
"Sure, kid, sure," he said, turning back to his friend. I also turned to the front, looking at Javier. He shrugged and looked at the line. It was finally moving. I smiled and started walking, the line moving very slowly.
Oh well, I thought. Slowly but surely, right?
I swayed side to side as I walked, trying to make it a little more fun. We finally made it to the front of the plane; I smiled and eagerly stepped out of the plane.
"Thank you for flying with us," the flight attendant said. I smiled at her and started to walk through the tunnel, making my way back into the airport. Javier and Coach walked beside me as we walked out of the tunnel and to the security. Again, it was pretty quick because we didn't bring anything. I sighed as we made it out of security and went to baggage claim. We skipped baggage claim and went to the exit.
"We're almost there," Javier said softly. I nodded and breathed in the New York air. It smelled different from Toronto air. It was more... lively? I don't know. We walked up to the curb and waited for a taxi. It took a few minutes, but a taxi finally showed up. A few people pointed at me and took pictures. I put my head down and got in the taxi. Coach and Javier followed after me.
"Calvary Hospital, please," I said to the driver.
"And can you go faster? It's an emergency," Javier added. I smiled at him. The driver nodded and started to drive out of the airport. It took about thirty minutes to get to the hospital. When we got there, I paid the driver and got out of the taxi. I went into the hospital and went to the front desk. The lady looked at us.
"Patient?" She asked. I raised my eyebrow at her.
"Um, yes?" I said questionably. Javier sighed. The lady raised her eyebrow at me and smiled softly.
"Y/N L/N," he said. I looked at him, confused as ever. He sighed and shook his head at me, smirking a bit. I looked at Coach. He was also smiling. I frowned and rolled my eyes at them.
"She's in the ER. Room 34," she said. (I don't know if that's a real room. Sorry if it's not...) I smiled at her.
"Thank you. So much," I said, heading away from the desk. She nodded and smiled at me. I nodded and followed Javier to the ER. We went in, looking for room 34. I walked down the hall of rooms, getting a tiny bit frustrated.
Ugh, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33... Finally! 34! I thought, smiling. i took a deep breath and looked at Javier and Coach. They nodded at me. I walked in and saw Y/N... She looked... beautiful. I mean, yeah, she was unconscious and had cuts all over her face, but she was still breathtaking. I looked at the person sitting beside Y/N's bed. (I almost put my name! HAHAHAHA... No? Okay...) Ii was Nicole. Her eyes were red and puffy, probably from crying. She was looking at Y/N, sadness in her eyes. I sighed and looked back at Y/N. Tears welled up in my eyes.
"Nicole?" I said, walking into the room. She looked up at me and stood up.
"Yuzuru! You're here!" She said, her voice cracking. I nodded and walked towards Y/N.
"Has she woken up?" I asked softly. Nicole shook her head.
"Not since she's been here, no. I try to wake her up sometimes, telling her that her parents are coming and that you're coming, but it didn't work," she said. A tear escaped my eye, and I stood beside Y/N. I reached for he hand and grabbed it, holding it tightly.
"Y/N," I whispered, "please wake up. I'm here. You should wake up because I'm here. Don't you want to see my handsome face?" Tears were running down my cheeks now. I bit down on my tongue in attempt to stop myself from sobbing. I knelt down beside her to get a better look at her face. She looked so peaceful. I closed my eyes and put my lips to her hands.
"Yuzuru," Javier whispered. He knelt down beside me and put his hand on my shoulder. I sobbed and cried so hard I could feel myself shake.
"Y/N!" I said, grabbing her hand once more. "Please! I- I love you..." I looked at her again. No response. I put her hand up to my face and cried again.
"I love you," I whispered. A tear fell onto her hand as I kissed it again. Then it twitched. Just a tiny bit...
1155 words! Yay! Sorry for the really bad chapter... Hehe... To be honest, I kind of rushed to finish this chapter because I kind of want to make a fanfic about a Kpop group that I like, and they're going to disband in December. *cries* Anyways, have a wonderful day!
