I woke up and sat up in my bed. I groaned and put mu hand up to my temple. I shook my head and sighed, looking at my clock. It was 9:32. I closed my eyes and leaned my head on the wall. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. I frowned and got out of bed, heading to the living room. I went downstairs and plopped down onto the couch, closing my eyes again. I shivered, and I looked outside; it was still snowing. I smiled and went up to the window, putting my hand on it. I retracted it immediately because of the cold.

"Wow," I whispered softly, resting my head on my arm. I sighed, seeing the fog on the glass appear. I sighed again and stood up. I shook my head again and went back to the couch. I sat down and turned the tv on. It was still on the sports channel. I shrugged and put the remote beside me, not bothering to change the channel.

"Well, today we have many contestants participating in the Grand Prix," the announcer said. I sighed but continued watching. "Some of the male contestants this year are Javier Fernández, Shoma Uno, Nathan Chen, and Yuzuru Hanyu. This is going to be a tough competition, and there are even more amazing skaters competing here in New York City, New York!" I frowned a little at Yuzuru's name.

"Y/N? What are you watching?" Nicole asked as she went down the stairs. She yawned and plopped down on the couch beside me.

"Oh, the Grand Prix. It seemed interesting," I said. She stretched her arms before looking at me.

"The Grand Prix? Is it because-"

I cut her off. "No. It was just on when I turned that thing on," I said, pointing to the tv. She blinked before nodding.

"Oh, yeah! I turned it on yesterday!" She exclaimed before yawning again. I felt myself yawn, too.

"So, what do you want to do? I don't have work today," I said excitingly. Nicole smiled and turned to me.

"Really? Can we have a friend's day out, then? If we have time, we can even go to the Grand Prix if you want!" She said happily. I cocked my head at her last comment.

"No Grand Prix, but we can go somewhere else," I explained. She frowned a little, but it disappeared quickly.

"Okay! That's fine with me!" She said. I smiled and nodded.

"Then go change. We'll leave right after," I said, heading upstairs. Nicole followed. I went to my room and picked out a warm outfit. I changed and smiled. I snuggled in my scarf and went downstairs. I sat on the couch while waiting for Nicole. I looked outside again, and I saw all the snowflakes falling. I smiled. I heard footsteps coming down from the stairs, and I turned to see Nicole, also bundled up. She smiled and wen t up to me.

"Let's go!" She said, hooking her arm through mine and dragging me towards the door. I laughed and tried to unhook my arm from hers.

"Wait! I need to put on my boots!" I said, laughing. Nicole let go of me and put on her boots, as well. After I put on my boots, I opened the door, and the cols air surrounded me, making me shiver.

"Wow," Nicole said. "It's really cold out." I nodded and unlocked my car. I opened the door and got in the drivers seat. Nicole got in beside me. I turned on the car and immediately turned on the heater. I put my hand up to the vent and sighed.

"Ah! Warmth!" I said, my hand blocking the air. Nicole whined and slapped my hand away.

"Hey! Don't do that! It's cold!" She said, shivering. I laughed and began to drive out of the driveway. Nicole turned on the radio, and they were all Christmas songs. I laughed as she sang along.
