I was finally able to come back to school, which I really didn't like but I didn't have a choice anyway. I patiently waited for the bus to pull up in front of the school so that I could get off and get inside. Which I hate because I knew people saw that fight, meaning more of Yana friends were gonna hate me but others would now not mess with me only if they wanted a fight like Yana's.

Walking into the school I headed straight for my locker to grab my books for my first class.

After grabbing my things, I headed down the hallways noticing that I had to pass Antwan and some of his friends.

Putting my head down I paid attention to the floor until I was passed them and almost out of sight.

"Aye Karter wait up" I mugged to myself in annoyance.

I turned around only to see Antwan running towards me from a group with his boys.

"What's up" I asked. "I just wanted to apologize the other day at the store. I didn't know you were behind me and I was trying to cut things loose with Ayana."

"You shouldn't be the one apologizing ya' know, she made her own mistakes"

"You right, but where you headed?" He asked. Following me towards my class, which wasn't that far but considering it was upstairs and down some halls.

"Let me walk you?" He said in a asking but more telling way.

"Okay?" I said, leaving a slight smile. I was about to push open the double doors that lead to the stairwell before Antwan got in front of me to open it.

"You know I seen your fight right?" He said walking behind me up the stairs.

"Yeah I'm sure everyone did, why you ask."

"Cause girl, you fight like Muhammad." He said doing a punching motion in the air.

"Kid you not, that was my first fight. Yana just got lucky I couldn't finish her off." This time I opened the doors to the hallway upstairs.

"Fighting like that, You sure that's your first fight, Nah girl you must've got trained somewhere?"

"I promise you it was my first fight. I don't fight, well when I was little my older sisters took on my battles."

"Oh so you just watched and prepared yourself huh?" He said rubbing his chin. We were nearing my classroom so I stopped beside the lockers just to talk to him.

"You could say, my classroom is right there." I pointed.

"Oh yeah, my bad." He said licking his lips, it was my first time ever just being this close to him and being in his face.

"Yeah. Uh. Ima go now." I said awkwardly.

"Iight Love, see ya around." He slightly touched my hand before walking off.

I walked into the classroom with a smile on my face and sat beside Jennifer.

"Well well well. What do we have here." She chuckled.

"What are you talking about." I whispered.

"Don't act like nobody seen you and Mr. Twan walking around today." She said.

"It's not even that deep, he was being nice and apologized for the other day at the store."

"What store? What happened."
