"Well, you need to see a therapist boo." Jennifer said as she sat across from me on the couch. She bit into her cookie and sipped from her tea.

"I think so too. It's crazy because I was fine up until Antwan got out of bed." I sipped from my tea cup.

"Was it the same as any of your other nightmares?"

I nod my head, looking down. "It's always about Jerome. I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do. Antwan's gun is still inside my bag."

Jennifer's eyes widen.

"What the hell Karter, you could get yourself in trouble."

"I don't care, he fucked with the wrong person."

"Yeah he did but let the boys handle it Karter, please I don't need to lose my friend."

"Fine, I'll put it back."

"Yeah before Antwan finds out its gone, so go do it now." Jennifer pushes me.

I got up from my spot on the couch and went to my room where my purse was. I pulled out Antwan's gun, wiping it off before placing it back inside the box that was on my shelf in the closet.

"Karter, your phone is ringing." Jennifer yelled from the living room.

Making my way back in, She hurriedly answered it and placed it in my hand.

"Hello?"

"Hey, I'm looking for Ms. Karter Allen. Is this her." An older man said from the other side.

"Yeah, May I ask who's calling?"

"This is Ryan Field from ABC 7 New York. I just checked your internship file. It's wonderful and exactly what I'm looking for in the building. I wanted to know if you were still looking for the paid internship position?"

Looking over a Jennifer I bit my lip, letting the information sink into my head. This could be a great deal for my life. Something I've always wanted to do as a matter of fact.

"What is it?" She whispered, looking over at me. I placed my hand up telling her to hold on.

"Can I get back to you, I'd have more of a definite answer maybe tomorrow."

"Sure thing, don't hold me long." He said before ending the line.

I hung up with a huge smile on my face.

"New York ABC7 called me about the internship."

Her eyes lit up in front of me, and a smile formed across her face. "And you told him you'd get back, why didn't you say yes?"

"I'm scared now, I feel like I'm second guessing myself."

"I think you should do it."

"Yeah, this is a lot to just think about. I'll make sure to call him back tomorrow though with my answer." I said. "But forget about me, how are things going with you and Aaron?"

"We're doing fine, next month I'm gonna take him to meet my parents." Jennifer smiled at me.

"Really?" I sat up, cross my legs over each other. "Are you nervous?"

"Yeah because of his appearance, you know how they are but no because if they don't judge him they'd realize he's actually a wonderful person." She said.

"I'm sure it won't be that bad Jennifer, doesn't your dad have millions on tattoos anyway? Especially a few on the back of his bald head."  I giggled.

Jennifer nodded her head, joining me into laughter. "Don't do my daddy Karter, he didn't know much when he was in jail." She laughed.

"But Aaron's tattoos aren't that bad, don't panic plus if you really love him you wouldn't care what they think." I said, before I looked down at my phone noticing another unknown number had texted me:

"Hey Antwan, had a wonderful time during the tour."

I scrunched up my face, confused as hell when I read the message. "What Karter."

Not responding to Jennifer, I texted the number back asking who it was. "Karter, What is it?" She said.

"Sorry wrong number."

Giving the phone to Jennifer, she quickly read over the text messages, then looked up at me.

"Mhhh, That's a Georgia area code too-"
Jennifer was cut off by Aaron and Antwan barging into the living room with our food, making us jump.

"What y'all talking about?" Aaron said.

"Nothing." Jennifer and I both said, looking at each other then at Aaron.

"Here yo' food." Antwan said kissing my cheek. "Aye Aaron, follow me into the kitchen."

Both of the guys left out the living room living me and Jennifer where we were.

Antwan

"Aye, over heard Karter say somebody playing on her phone." Aaron said behind me as we walked into the kitchen. "A Georgia number at that."

"Georgia?" I raised my eyebrow, feeling my blood boil.

Aaron nodded his head.

"This bitch gotta be fucking bluffing." I shook my head, leaning against the counter.

Aaron looked down, Not understanding what I meant until he looked back up at me.

"You done fucked up big time bruh. I told you, all you had to do was tell your lawyer about her crazy ass." He shook his head.

"Fuck, Karter gone kick my ass. I just got her back in my hands." I looked down.

"Karter should've been the first person on your mind when you were out getting drunk with that bitch." Aaron whisper-yelled.

"You act like you wasn't out drunk too Aaron."

"I was, but I knew who the fuck I had at home. Jennifer don't play that shit. But you got some shit to fix my boy." Aaron patted my back before leaving out of the kitchen.

I shook my head, looking back down at the ground. I knew I fucked up with this one. And there's no telling what's gonna happen between Karter and I once she finds out.
