CHAPTER 2
I turned to walk out of the detention room completely in shock, did that seriously just happen? I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and ran smack into Jarren, "Oh sorry."
He chuckled, "That's ok. What's on your mind, you seem out of it." The look on his face told me that he was seriously concerned; I could never keep anything from him, so I told him. "Dyllan did what?!" He seemed pissed?
"Why are you so mad?!" I threw my hands in the air; what the hell? I definitely don't need this from him right now.
"You know he's just lying to you right!? Guys like that never change!" He spoke while Gripping his hair.
I had no clue how to react to this; I had never seen Jarren this mad before! "I don't understand why you so mad." I spoke in a soft concerned voice, hoping that it would calm him down.
I had no such luck, "What do you mean why am I mad?! He's a total player, be thrashes anyone who so much as looks at him the wrong way, and now he's possibly going after you. No way I won't allow it."
That's when I got pissed, "Who the hell do you think you are?! You're not my Dad! You can't tell me what to do." I rubbed my temples before continuing, "Look, I really don't want to put up with this bullsh*t right now, call me whenever you grow up and get over yourself." I turned to walk away; I heard him scoff behind me, but I continued to walk anyways.
I was walking down the hall when I ran into Alex, "Hey Alex!" I smiled; she always knew how to cheer me up.
She smiled, waved, and ran up to me, "Hey Jay! What's up?"
I smirked, "Nothing, just thinking about ditching the rest of the day."
She stopped dead in her tracks, and gasped, "Jaylen! We can't do that! We might get in trouble."
I rolled my eyes Alex was always the goody, never got in trouble, always got good grades, and definitely never gave in to peer pressure; until she met me. I had gotten her to do so many things that she wouldn't have done before she met me; hey, if you're gonna hang out with me you got to live on the edge, "Come on Alex, I'm so done with today and I don't wanna ditch alone." I gave her a puppy dog look.
She laughed her musical laugh, "How many times do I have to tell you that doesn't work on me?"
I started to beg, "Come on, if you go with me I'll do your geometry for a week."
She rolled her eyes, "If I wanted to get a F I'd let my little brother do it. Plus we both know you don't even do your own Geometry, you always ask people for theirs to copy."
I faked to be hurt, "Ouch. Is that really how you see me?"
"Stupid Ardwanda, you know it's true." She gave me an innocent look like she didn't say anything wrong.
"Come on Umpa." I smirked at the nickname she hated. Alex, Jamie, Suzie, and our friend Stephan all have Physics together and the three guys and I being the slackers we are made Alex do all the work, we got bored and started calling her Umpa, don't ask me why; it's all Stephan's fault. Alex doesn't even ask me to help anymore; last time I helped we got a F.
Alex groaned, "I told you not to call me that anymore!"
I giggled, "Well you called me Ardwanda ; I had to call you something." I smirked.
She glared at me, "Now I'm really not ditching with you."
The late bell rang and I smirked, "Mines well now, you're already late anyways."
She sighed before giving in, "Fine, but you owe me."
I smirked, "How about I give you free Starbucks and we call it even?"
