This year as I leave and go
I wanna say a big thank you
For being so nice and patient
Even when we would be impatient
Telling us to remain calim and focus
Even when you were tensed about us.
Dear teacher, for many you may only be an educator
But for me you've been the best tutor
Who taught us not only subjects
But also championed the cause of study
Teacher you taught me that history
Is after all not just a boring tree,
And English is not just
The story of Julius;

Keeping aside all worries and to strive;
Teacher you mean a lot to me,
A second mother you have been
Helping me always without being seen

For I leave in a few days,
Thank you for turning my life into a paradise,
Where I will remain for the rest of my life.

For in a few days time I shall be gone;
