The other India is invisible,
To the ones for whom money is dispensible;
But this doesn't mean it doesn't exist,
It does for them who value money as it is;
The other India is stricken with poverty,
Little do they know about freedom or liberty;
The other India is illiterate ,
Through their minds knowledge did not penetrate;
The other India is filled with criminals,
Who are forced to act as fortune commands;
The other India also includes the Underworld,
Without whom black money would have been just a word;
The other India doesn't drive luxurious cars,
They are on most days made to starve;
The other India does not go to shopping malls,
They beg for food in the outside stalls;
The other India lives in slums,
They do not know the beauty of the rising sun;
The other India lives in darkness,
They do not know what is brightness;
The India which we see,
Is not all that which needs to be seen;
The richer half badly needs to understand,
The need for bringing both parts on an equal stand;
Only then will India fulfil its destiny
As the world's greatest country!
