The Mall

As we started to drive to the mall Janet decided to turn on the radio. The music that came from the radio was certainly old and most of the songs I have never even heard of. I stared out the window and saw houses that all looked the same. They had different paint jobs but other than that everything was the same. It was pretty strange actually.

We continue driving until we get downtown. It was exquisite. Everything was wrapped in white snow from head to toe. It was like a winter wonderland. It reminded me of those Christmas movies I would watch at my grandma's house, everything just seemed unbelievable and perfect.

It made me happy actually even though I'm not in the present timeline I can still enjoy the fact that it's Christmas time. I know I won't be able to get any presents and such but every winter I get this happy feeling and I look forward to Christmas and the holidays. Afterwards, I just go back to the same daily grind like most people, I guess that's why Christmas is so special.

It's unique from other days and holidays because it can just give you this feeling of being unbelievable, it's like a fairy tale I guess is what I'm trying to say. It only comes once a year so when it does come, it's remarkable. That's why it's 'The most wonderful time of the year'

We pull up to a parking lot with an enormous building behind it. The building has a sign which reads 'Shopping Centre'
To be honest, I'm quite interested to see what clothes will be there.

It's really busy since it's Christmas time so Janet has to drive around the parking lot until she sees some lady pulling out of a parking spot. Janet quickly takes that spot and parks. The parking spot is a bit far from the centre but who really cares. I open my door and pop out. Everyone gets out along with me. Janet locks the car and we all make our way to the centre.

As we're walking Annie and Janet start talking about who knows what and Jo and I are walking together. Jo mutters something under breath a couple of times. Probably about her being cold, I swear that woman is always cold. I look over to Jo and see that she's shivering and her teeth are chattering.

"Jo?" I ask as I look at her freezing cold

"W-what do y-you w-w-want now" She jerks back at me. Even though she's freezing, she can still be quite a nasty twat.

"Are you alright? Y'know with everything going on now." I say as I look straight ahead trying not to look at her give me a painful side eye.

"Whatever," Jo mutters as she runs closer to the doors of the shopping centre.

I follow after her since I'm pretty cold also, I'm not very good with the weather. If it's warm I'm boiling and if it's cold it's freezing, no in between. Once we're all through the doors I start to look around the shopping centre. It's all shiny and filled with everything red and green.

I can see in the distance there's a gigantic Christmas tree with green, gold, red, and silver decorations. Everything in the shopping centre sure is a sight to see. I'm pretty much looking all around at everything with my jaw practically on the floor. I can't help but be amazed by all this shine and beauty.

I see fake snowmen, nutcrackers, elves, and reindeer. There's also a bunch of fake snow. Like that fluffy cotton-ball type of fake snow. I really want to jump in all of it but I'm sure I'll break a hip like an old lady.

"Well girls, let's look around shall we?" Janet says before she walks off. We all start to follow her

How festive.

(Wow, I know I actually posted a chapter! How amazing. Expect more soon lovelies!)
