Pearl and Opal have come back, and are now confidently facing the REDASTAQ.
"So. You think you're actually...what? Worth something, did you say?!" Diamond sneered in fake shock. Opal, angry and determined to defend her best friend, retorted,
"Yeah...she's braver than you, too! You wouldn't take a single step outside!" Mocking him, she said, "'Oh no! I'm going to ruin my shininess!'"
"Oh, so the beautiful Opal wants to join the Loser's Club, huh?" Diamond snickered. "I used to like you. Admire you. I regret that," he snaps, lip curling back in disgust. (AN: Ok, I guess that gems have lips now...)
"Y-you...liked me?" Opal stammered, eyes wide. (AN: Annnnd eyes too apparently)
"Yeah. Liked. Past," Diamond spits. Opal froze. Pearl, on the other hand, reached out and slapped Diamond. (AN: Hands and cheeks too...ok. o_0) He staggered back, stunned. Not finished berating him, she added,
"Shut. Up. Y'know she liked you back, right? Pfft, never mind. You never deserved her in the first place."
"Pearl..." whispered Opal faintly. "It's ok..."
Turning to her close friend, Pearl snapped back,
"No, it is NOT ok! A mean jerk just shattered by best friend's heart! I do not consider that okay."
Stunned by her friend's fiercely protective and angry words, she was thought, Wow...just five days ago Pearl was so different. I never would have seen this coming. Diamond, never before having experienced someone actually physically standing up to him like that, cowered back and gave into Pearl's words
"O-ok...just p-please d-d-don't h-hit me again..."
