AAFREEN AAFREEN
I was lost in my dream world and waiting for my prince charming to show himself to me. I have craved and craved for my entire life to be able to serve my Lordy and thus make my life worth while but it was like an impossible dream. I was feeling so lost today so I went to my Lordy's temple and sat their in front of the idol.
The idol was pure black in colour and carried a dazzling smile on his face. He looked a proper combination of mystery and mischief. I just kept looking at him trying to somehow express my fear of loosing him.
He looked like he was enjoying the declaration of my love towards him but when I didn't get any reciprocation apart from his enchanting smile, I decided to just give up on controlling my tears and let them free fall.
About few seconds later a voice interrupted my pity party. They sat down next to me and asked me the reason for my crying.
"I am just hurt and the only doctor who can help me get rid of my pain is not available ," I replied to him so that he won't ask anything anymore.
"Well I am a doctor too, " came the answer, "I can do proper check up for you. "
"Can't you just let me weep here in silence, "I asked him frustrated.
"I have a very notable weakness you see. I can't see beautiful girls cry. " his voice sounded playful.
"If you have forgotten this is a temple which is a public place and everybody in India has freedom to express their emotions,"I answered back.
Then everybody in India has freedom to ask the reason of crying on a public place, "Was his immediate comeback. I was done with his attitude and witty nature.
"Please let me weep in silence," I faced him.
On seeing him the only words that I could think of were:
Aisa dekha nahi khoob-soorat koyi
Jism jaise ajanta ki moorat koyi
Jism jaise nigaahon pah jaadu
koyiJism naghmah koyi Jism khush-bu koyi
Jism jaise mahakti hui chaandani
Jism jaise machalti hui raagini
Jism jaise kih khilta hua ik chaman
Jism jaise kih sooraj ki pahli kiran
Jism tarsha huwa dil-kash o dil-nisheen
Sandaleen sandaleen Marmareen marmareen
Husn-I jaanaan ki ta'reef mumkin nahi
Husn-I jaanaan ki ta'reef mumkin nahi
Aafireen aafireen Aafireen aafireen
Tu bhi dekhe agar to kahe ham-nisheen
Aafireen aafireen Aafireen aafireen
Husn-I jaanaan ki ta'reef mumkin nahi
Husn-I jaanaan ki ta'reef mumkin nahi
{I have never seen anyone so beautiful his body is like some statue of Ajanta Caves his body is like a spell on eyes his body is like some beautiful song, like some fragrance, his body is like a tilting rhythm, his body is like fragrant moonlight, his body is like a blossoming garden his body is like the first rays of the Sun his body is like a carved statue, heart arresting Like (the fragrant) sandalwood. Like the white marble.. It's not even possible to praise the beauty of my beloved Praise to the Creator, Praise to the Maker, Even if you see (my beloved), you would say the same. Praise to the Creator, Praise to the Maker.}
He was unbelievably perfect. I just sat their my eyes unblinking.
"Are you alive?" he asked sarcastically.
"Who are you?, " I asked him.
"Well I am called Krishna, " he replied with a smirk.
"Since I answered your question it's your turn.." he added further.
Looking into his eyes I wanted to let my heart unveil all my secrets.
"Why are you crying?" He asked me.
You know when a girl decides to give herself to some one, she looses her entire identity in him. But what if you loose yourself in Krishna. I am one of the many Krishna daasis who want nothing more than staying at his feet forever but he just never shows himself. He has hidden himself and here I am all alone.
"Well from my POV," he said :-
"Krishna is right next to you. Sometimes you can't identify the one you are meant for. Patience Always delivers so does faith and if you believe in his love he must be sitting next to you. "
"But I can't see him..."I added desperately.
"May be he is hiding for you to find him. I am sure he won't go anywhere." added Krishna.
"Then today I will find him." I said determined all of a sudden.
"Then Let it Be ", he replied and when I saw around myself I was all alone. I searched for Krishna all around me and that is when I finally realised, He was none other than my Shyam whho taught me the biggest secret of Bhakti...
