~Jess's POV~

"Why didn't she tell us?" Matt asks, putting his hand through his hair.

"Dude" Nash says, "What was she just gonna blurt out how she killed the guy?"

"Sorry, I just feel horrible for her, and it frustrates me to see her like this." Matt clenches his jaw.

"I feel you bro. But I mean if she didn't kill him he would have attacked Taylor, right?"

"Still.. Jess, killing someone?"

I crack the door open more so that they can see me.

"I-um-Jess" Nash says.

"What's so bad about me having the guts to kill someone?" my voice cracks.

Matts mouth opens and closes but he doesn't say anything.

"Am I not strong enough for that?"

"No Jess, that's not what I meant. Not at all." Matt starts towards me.

I freeze when he touches me shoulder.

"Stop" I whisper, smacking his arm.

He slowly moves away his hand, looking down at the floor.

"I'm sorry.." I say, my eyes wide, I turn around and run out into the hall.

Quickly I go into my room, throwing on a blouse, and some skinny jeans, attempting to cover my bruises.

I grab my phone and go to my messages.

"

Braden💦; Jesssssss

Jessi🙈; Meet me at the bar in my hotel. Pronto.

"

I take my purse, heading downstairs.

I hold back any emotion that wants to break free. I'm just not up for crying right now.

When I get down to the bar, thankfully no ones there. I mean it's 12:30 on a Wednesday night.

"ID?" the bar tender, who I must say is very attractive, asks.

I let a tear fall, having it wash away some foundation, showing my black eye.

"Um-I-what-what can I get you?" He stutters.

I give him a shy smile, pointing to the hard ice tea.

Whiles he's making it I look around, hoping to spot Braden.

After 5 minutes I get impatient and call him.

"

J-Where are you

B- Turn around silly

"

I turn around and there he is, full on grinning.

He comes over and sits next to me, just when I'm getting my drink.

"Thanks" I bat my eyes at the man, he smirks, winking.

"I'll take the same" Braden says, showing the man an ID.

Ummm . He's in high school.

I shake my head as he puts it back in his pocket.

"Comes I'm handy."

"I bet it does." I laugh, chugging down my drink.

Braden does the same.
