Chapter 6

~Taylor's POV~

I can't believe this is happening.

A school shoot out? I mean come on.

No one ever gets a break in this world.

Aaron and Mahogany are curled up in the corner and Shawn's flipping out. I- well, I'm crying, believe it or not.

This is so not what I was looking forward to.

I hope everyone's safe.

All the other boys. Jess.

Jess!

"No.." I say to myself.

"Huh?" Shawn looks over at me.

"Jess. The baby." I hardly say.

He punches the wall.

"Shh!" A girl that got stuck in here with us whispers.

She has to be okay.

~Jess's POV~

Quietly I tip toe down the hallway. I can hear someone crying, but I don't know where it's coming from.

If it's a trick and it's the shooter.. I- I'll be dead.

But I take the chance .

I step over all the thrown books, and bags, making my way towards the noise.

It's coming from a janitors closet.

When I get to the door I take a deep breath.

It'll be okay.

I look around, and 1..2..3.

I slowly open the door and slip in.

When I face the person crying I'm relieved.

"Hayes." I whisper embracing him in a hug.

I look to the corner and Carter's got his head in his hands.

I kneel down by him as Hayes continues to cry.

"Hey. Carter. Shh." I pet his head. "We're gonna be okay."

He wipes his eyes and nods. But I know he doesn't believe me.

When I look around I see no one else.

We were I'm groups of three.. Right?

"Who was with you guys." I instantly stand up, getting worried.

Hayes face palms himself, letting tears stream down.

"Cam- cam he went to the bathroom." Carter barely tells me .

As much as I hate Cameron right now.. He needs to be safe.

"Al-alright. Guys stay right here. Lock the door. I have to find Cam." I say hugging Hayes.

He doesn't let go.

"Please don't." He cries.

I hold his shoulders, and look into his eyes.

"Ill be okay. I promise." I kiss his cheek.

Carter stands up, hugging me.

"We love you Jess." He says.

I nod.

"I love you too." I take another deep breath and quietly open the door.

Okay. So Hayes and Carter are safe. One less thing to worry about.
