Against All Odds

Chapter 20

~Jess's POV~

"What's this?" I ask Nash, pulling out a black hoodie and putting it up to my nose.

Then I remember.

"Jack." I whisper

"Huh?" Nash says coming over to me.

"It's Jacks.. This is Gilinskys!"

"Y-yeah it is... You remember?"

"Nash, I remember him. Rain and bubble gum" I slowly smile.

Nash grins, embracing me in a hug.

"I'm sorry about the other day. I don't know what happened. I totally forgot everything all over again." I tell him, letting go.

"It's alright. Some days will me harder then others."

I nod my head, holding onto the black hoodie for dear life. Almost as if I squeeze it tight enough Jack will come back.

But we all know that won't happen.

"How many months pregnant am I again?" I ask Taylor, plopping on the couch next to him.

"Nine already! Look at your huge baby bump. That suckers gonna be poppin out in no time. Jess your gonna be a mom soon." He pats my leg.

Yup . I hardly know anything and I'm going to be a mother. God, I want my memory back.

I hear the front door swing open and two sets out footsteps running towards us.

"Hey guys, what u-" Taylor begins

"Sky's horse got out. It's across the street can you help!?" Nash almost yells.

Him and his animals.

I shouldn't be one to talk though. I'd do anything for wildlife.

I quickly jump up, running out the door.

From down the driveway I can see the beautiful white horse.

I can't even remember it's name...

"Come on." I say to the boys, continuing down the driveway.

We get to the end and the horse just stands there staring at us.

"Come on horsy. Come across." I motion for it to come my way.

He snarls and turns around.

"Cameron what's it's name?" I ask getting frustrated.

"Horse" he chuckles.

Horse? Wow Sky. So creative.

"Horse! come home. Let's go!" I step a little out into the now busy street.

It of course has to get out around rush hour.

Horse turns back towards me, but the traffic starts moving. Cars zoom by making it hard for Horse to move.

Oh god please don't let him get hit.

When there are no more cars I walk out alittle further . Reaching out my hand.

"Be careful Jessi" Taylor and Nash say at the same time.

I look back at them nodding.

"Horse come on." I sweetly smile.

He swings his tail and nays .

I walk out a little further, concentrating on how I'm going to get the horse without it like biting me or something.

"Come on baby. Let's go back to Sky." I take another step closer.

Thats when I hear it. Those horrible noises. The yelling. The screaming. The hollering.

The truck horn.

Then nothing.
