I woke up at 6:00 AM in the morning because I forgot to turn off the alarm clock in my phone. It's on repeat five days in a week, and on weekday holidays, it gets switched off. Guess I was forgetful again. I crashed in the bed and went to sleep again, waking up at 8:30 now. I don't feel fresh even after a good night's sleep. I just want to sleep all day, but I hate it because I got work on my schedule to do. Damn!
Eventually, the grogginess wore off. I got out of bed. Tomorrow's my last exam in 11th, and it's psychology. One of my favourites, so I'm not particularly worried about it. Baba (Dad) leaves for office at 9:30 everyday in the morning. I go to the balcony and give him a good day's farewell each day. Noble dude eh?
I studied some psychology. It's quite interesting. Although every subject does get boring once in a while. There's many connections with the various jobs people do, and it's psychology.
After a while, I was feeling a bit too mechanical (yes, I feel that whenever I'm doing anything boring, like studying, even if it's my favourite subject) and I wandered over to see what Maa (Mom) was doing in the kitchen. I saw she had boiled some eggs, and a thought popped into my head. "Why don't I make some egg devils, Maa?", I said. She agreed to my surprise. Usually she doesn't let me cook in the kitchen because I make the place messy. But I clean up all of that as well. So I don't find any problem with that. Maybe because the recipe's a short one, lol.
Here's how egg devils look (not to be confused with devilled eggs, these are Kolkata styles snacks):
It turned out the opposite of what I had planned. The potato mash inside was so sticky, it left huge dumplings on the eggs, and were generally oversized. Still, they proved to be quite tasty. Maa also enjoyed it.
Revised psychology again. I wish tomorrow would come soon. I want to get over with this exam shit. I have also planned to visit my best friend S next day, again. This is the second time. My friend D is also accompanying me. I've named them 'gudbois' because they're really great people at heart and everything else.
I got 3D animation/modelling classes on a Monday and Thursday schedule at 2-4 PM every week. A sir takes our classes, and he's very friendly as well. He says that we're the best batch he has ever got in all his classes, because we make great models. Here are some of mine, but I don't want to brag too much lol.
A sir has been absent for a couple of days since he's caught pox. I hope he gets well soon. He told us he'd be returning on Monday. Let's see.
Well, don't think that we're not having classes. An sir, another mentor, has taken over. He's showing us some basic stuff, but not in vain. He revealed several problems in our models. According to him, the output we gave was only assignment-satisfactory. Our models needed to be clean for production quality work, though. He's got 17 years of experience, more than A sir, and I was confident An sir would be as helpful as A sir. He also made some excellent jokes today. I'll describe one of them.An sir lived in a para (neighborhood). A girl lived in his neighborhood, with her parents. She was very studious, and always got top marks in every subject you could name. An sir's father would always ridicule him and say, "Dekh. Meyeta top kore. Tor dwara kichhui hobe na. Er Moto hote paarish na keno?" (That girl scores the highest in every subject. I would say you couldn't even study for shit. Why couldn't you be more like her?)
One day, he heard that the girl had fallen in with a boy. There. After that, her gracious marks and airs were never heard of. An sir retorted back at his father that day, and had said, "Dekho. Er Moto hole tumi aaj amay shamlate parte?" (If I was like her, could you bear with me this day?). An sir revealed that she was now married, and had two kids. And lo, here was An sir having the time of his life in the path of 3D.Our batchmates couldn't stop laughing. I felt my cheeks turn hard and were aching, because I was laughing hard as well. By the way, the institute's name is Hitech. It's a production house, and they've also made quite a lot of stuff based on 3D and CG and they get shown in the news channels and blah blah. On the path home, I remembered that Mom had told me to buy some medicines. I had to retrace my steps back, buy the medicine, and then go home. I saw a girl on the street, walking down the lane with some of her friends, wearing a fucking IRON MAIDEN t-shirt! I regretted I was not wearing a SLAYER tee this day lol. I have seen people wearing band tees before, but not a girl. I was going crazy. S suggested me to ask her out lol.
D called late in the evening. He planned to see his girlfriend, and he was tagging me along to go with him, because his girlfriend was giving her exams in a different school and I knew the place lol. He also suggested me to drag my guitar to the school tomorrow, and then scrapped the plan. Maybe we can work around that one. Hauling a guitar ain't an easy task. And that's all for today, folks.
