----------

This story went through its own rebirth. It was originally titled [Lucius] and contained only the Heaven portion of the story. Almost a year or so after the end, I decided that there was more to the tale and added in Hell's portion, effectively changing it to the [Heaven and Hell] it is today.

First of all, as usual, I want to thank you all for reading this. Having your support means so much to me and to say that I have you here as either a new reader or as a long-time reader since [Kisses From Death] is my pride and joy.

The following paragraphs contain spoilers for the rest of the [Kisses From Death] series so skip that if you do not want to be spoiled. There will be a similar divider further on to tell you where the spoilers end.

----- spoiler ahead for those who have not read the main series yet -----

Lucius as a character was primarily the antagonist of the entire [Kisses From Death] even though he might not seem like it from the very beginning. I knew ever since I finished the main outline of the first book that I wanted him as the bad guy but not without reason. I wanted to show, like some of my other works, that the antagonist was not born evil. That there was something that had caused him to become the way that he is now.

I absolutely adore the tagline for this story.

"He was a love that became violent."

This sentence really calls out to me because most love start out innocent and pure in our childhood but they evolve to become sinister. What was once love for our family, friends, and even adoration for a special someone becomes love for power, revenge, status, riches, and all that materialistic junk.

I hoped that this story was able to show just that. Lucius was innocent in the beginning. All he wanted was someone he could be with and share his endless joys with but because of circumstances, he was corrupted by vengeance and hatred for people he once called his friends.

I love writing about villains. It gives this sort of thrill and adventure that never really comes from writing about ordinary do-gooder heroes. It's different because villains have a tragic backstory more often than not while heroes are just heroes.

----- end of spoiler segment -----

[Heaven and Hell] has a lot of room for improvement and I will definitely get to it one day. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day. There are definitely parts which I can expand, particularly in the second half of the book. There are so many more points that I thought of only after I had completed writing that it was much too late to add it in. Hence, it will have to wait for the editing process.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for reading his story.

If you are a new reader and this is the first book of the [Kisses From Death] series that you've ever read, fret not.

I will be continuing this universe. I have two more stories planned that are in still in development and I cannot wait to share it with you guys.

As usual, until next time.
