IN THE MIDST of all the glory, everyone was celebrating Calvin's success. The crowd that surrounded Lucifer and covered the entire beach was up in cheers. Weapons and fists were raised, smiles decorating every human face available.

All but one.

Dimitri did not believe in such an easy win. Even if Lucifer had truly been too weak for their combined forces, even if Lucifer did fail to plan as thoroughly as he once did, even if their own strengths finally outmatched their weaknesses, there had to still be another trick up fate's sleeves. It might not even be Lucifer's design but rather the general world's.

Instead of rejoicing as the others did, Dimitri chose to scan the land around them. He was still on alert, still watching out for hostile reactions that might come from the demons. Different possibilities whirled in Dimitri's mind.

Maybe Lucifer stationed back-up troops in the forest that surrounded them. Or perhaps when every last soul had put down their guards, including Dimitri, the enemy would rise again and tear the throats of the mortal souls. Everything was a probability.

However, unlike what Dimitri had expected, there was nothing more that Lucifer planned. He truly believed that he would win the war with the strength he owned and as such, this defeat was not calculated. The reason for all of that was because Lucifer had been too prideful.

Ever since the success of moving to Hell, Lucifer thought himself lordly and that he was the most brilliant existence in all the realms. In his mind, there could be no one far more superior than him. In addition, Dimitri also accelerated this overbearing personality of his.

The spirit of death had once opened a forbidden box. Furthermore, he also did not think that the small actions of one night would change the tides of war and greet him with smiles upon his success.

Standing in the sea of bodies, a single woman hovered above the ground. Her beauty was extraordinary and unlike any other. However, even when surrounded by a crowd of mostly men, she remained undetected. Unlike Qiu Xia's refined deity-like presence, this woman was a seductress. She wore a red smile, her body covered by a piece of thin scarlet silk, and her hair flowed in the wind like spilled blood.

Everyone was oblivious to her presence. Again, all but one.

Dimitri recognized the woman. She was one of the seven colors released many nights ago. Ever since then, he hadn't seen her nor the other colors again. It was only after she left had he realized that the box that Dimitri had so carelessly opened was one that contained the seven sins of humanity. Now, long after Dimitri had forgotten the incident, she reappeared.

The red woman stood a distance away, smiling beautifully at Dimitri. She was surrounded by what was left of the chaos of war and yet, she seemed so at home. A single wave was sent by her, her fingers wiggling in the golden sunlight before she looked towards Lucifer.

Dimitri followed her actions, turning his head back to where Calvin and Lucifer were.

By then, the rest of the leaders had gone over to subdue the devil and his subordinates. Qiu Xia and Calvin were bounding Lucifer up carefully, using magic to ensure his binds would not break easily and allow his escape. As they did so, a ball of purple slowly seeped out from Lucifer's head, slowly gaining the form of yet another woman. Her form did not stay for too long, however. Immediately after separating, she turned into a ball of pure purple light before soaring into the skies and disappearing out of sight. Once she fully left the devil, his head slumped forward and his eyes were shut as if put to a long sleep.

Dimitri watched from where he stood as Calvin and Qiu Xia exchanged confused murmurs, not understanding why Lucifer suddenly grew so passive. Nevertheless, they continued with their jobs.

On the other hand, Fabian and Wilhelm were rounding up the demons. They were ushered into cages that were pre-made by the blacksmiths ahead of time and locked away. Since they were working on separate groups each, Dimitri could only focus on one at a time.

The red woman was nearest to where Wilhelm stood. She walked slowly towards Wilhelm, gently running a hand across his shoulders before moving to stroke his feathery red hair. In Dimitri's eyes, they looked like mirrors of each other, two sides to the same coin. However, the spirit of death realized it a little too late.

Just as he took a step forward, a hand reached out and ready to run in Wilhelm's direction, the woman flashed him a smile and her lips moved. She was too far away but Dimitri could hear her all the same.

She said, "You hungered for war. Now, I shall do the same."

Her words echoed in Dimitri's ears with resounding volume. Once she was finished with what little she had to say, she delicately placed her lips against Wilhelm's. The latter had no reaction, most likely not even with a clue that there was one of the seven deadly sins in his presence.

Dissolving into a stream of smoke, the red woman disappeared past Wilhelm's lips as his body froze to the spot. Once she completely vanished into him, Wilhelm's body jerked once before his lips parted to take in a large gasp of air. He acted as though his body had been underwater for far too long. After his breathing slowed back to normal, Dimitri swore he noticed a bright glow in Wilhelm's eyes.

The latter's irises had always been red but the glow it now bore was brighter than usual. The shine that was emitted from them increased until it was hard to even look in Wilhelm's direction. It was as if Dimitri was staring straight into the sun.

Thankfully, the glow did not last. It subsided after a few short seconds.

However, after witnessing the purple wisp that left Lucifer's body, and now to be present when the mysterious red sin merged with Wilhelm, Dimitri knew that it was just the start of newfound trouble. If anything, he prayed that this development would not cause harm to the peace they had just established in the realm of Hell.

Red was the color of anger. That woman had once warned Dimitri that anger was a volatile emotion.

Little did Dimitri know, Wrath was just one of the seven sins that sought for war.
