Slytherin's last period was Care of Magical Creatures with the Gryffindor and Hagrid. Draco waited by the Entrance Hall's doors for Hermione. "Draco!" Whined Pansy, she pulled his robes but he just pulled back. "Come on! Don't you want to laugh at the big oaf? We need to go to class!" She begged.

"No! Pansy you go on. Go with Goyle and Crabbe" he snapped at her. She looked taken back and then turned on her heels and rushed towards the class. Tears running down her face. She always thought that Draco was in love with her but he wasn't. She was so selfish and self absorbed.

"Hermione!" Greeted Draco in joy as Hermione entered the hall.

"Hi Draco!" She gave him a small kiss and they held hands.

"How was History of Magic?" He asked as they trotted down the path to the edge of Hagrid's cabin.

"Amazing! We learned about the-" she began.

"Most. Boring. Class. Ever!" Moaned Harry from behind cutting them off.

"Whatever. How was your class?" She asked.

"Meh" he shrugged his shoulders just as Hagrid's voice boomed over the ground.

"MALFOY!" He bellowed making Draco stopped on his tracks scared to death "LET GO OF HERMIONE YOU FERRET!" Draco's confidence came back. He straightened his robes and opened his mouth to answer him but Hermione cut him.

"Hey Hagrid!" She waves at him with the hand that was with Draco's, she tightened her grip. Hagrid looked at him confused.

"What's wrong Hagrid?" Asked Hermione frowning.

"What are you doing with Malfoy?" He asked confused.

"What? Oh! I'll tell you later..." said Hermione. As the place slowly filled with other students Hagrid couldn't stop looking at Hermione and Draco happily chatting. When the class ended they made their way up the stairs to the great hall.

"Go on Harry" said Hermione to Harry as she stopped.

"Go on guys" Draco told his friends. He turned to face Hermione.

"So..." she started playing around with her hands. Draco smoothly took her hands in his and smiled down at her.

"Hermione. I, I think I love you" he blurted out. Hermione's eyes shot up to meet his.

"What...?" She asked but was cut off with a kiss from Draco.

"Meet you in the Great hall for dinner" he said after leaving Hermione confused. He swaggered out of the Entrance Hall and down the stairs to his common room. Hermione blushed and rushed up the stairs to catch up with Harry. She climbed through the portrait hole while chatting with Harry and stopped when she faced Ron. Head held high she walked right past him and climbed the stairs to their dormitory. The whole common room fell silent as Ron angrily sat down.

"Sorry mate" whispered Harry as he went up to his dormitory. Ron angrily crossed his arms. 'How could this have happened to me?' he thought 'How could Hermione leave me for the ferret?' Ron looked around the common room since he felt all eyes nailed onto his back. Making holes through the back of his shirt. He growled at them and rushed out the common room. Meanwhile Hermione was upstairs nervously pacing around the room.

'Oh my god! Wait- Should I sit with the Slytherins or Gyrffindors? Wherever Draco sits...' she though, little did she know that for below Draco was worrying too. In fact Draco could be seen walking around the common room nervously. He grabbed his hair and panicked. Not only the Slytherin's were worried about him, the merpeople were worried too about him. They looked confused but a sign language speaking student explained to them what was going on.

(Many years ago a deaf student came to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. He struggled with the Merpeople since he loved them but the Slytherins had a very complicated relationship with them. The Slytherin common room is located under the lake and well, Merpeople inhabit the lake. The roof is made out of glass so the merpeople can see the common room. The glass is of course protected by magic so they can't break it. So the student taught them sign language and that's how the Slytherins and Merpeople talk. Something not many people know about Slytherins.)

The Merpeople frowned at Draco feeling sorry for him. "I got it!" he finally stopped walking and screamed making many Slytherins and Merpeople jump (or swim) up in surprise. They all looked at him. "What Draco?" asked Zabini. Draco spun around to face him.

"Well, I will join the two tables! Both Slytherins and Gryffindors can sit together!" he smiled brightly, he smiled like he never had. Most Slytherins disagreed but some stood up and shrieked, loud and clear, no!

"NO!" shrieked Pansy, she had been silent in a dark corner.

"What?" asked Draco, finally noticing her.

"Can I talk to you outside?" she asked him urging him out.

"Okay, we are outside, what do you want?" Draco asked again once they where outside.

"Draco-" she started holding his hands "You- you are the love of my life. I saw our future in your eyes the first time I laid eyes on you. I love you! And we made fun of that Granger" she spat "For years! Until one day I hear that you love her? How could you do that to me! We- we are meant for each other."

Draco looked nothing more than shocked. He pulled his hands out and looked at her in disgust, his eyes were wide like plates. "How could you say that? I never ever loved you! You were the annoying friend I had! And- and you cannot control you I love or not love! We are so no meant for each other" and with that he rushed back to the Entrance Hall where he found Hermione.

Her hair was glittering in candlelight and her eyes where wondering around the Great Hall, as though lost and looking for someone that could free them. The second she laid her brown eyes on Draco's grey ones they clicked. It was as though fireworks exploded around them, the lost look was gone and it was replaced into a happy one. It was more than happy.

Harry watched them in a corner and a smile broke when Hermione broke into a run towards Draco. He opened his arms wide so Hermione could jump into his arms. If you were to be looking at them you would have thought that it was in slow motion. It was like in a romance movie.
