Chapter 16

1 week later...

Ryan's POV

My mom agreed to meet me. Turns out she's been married for one year to the man she cheated on my dad with.

"Vrooooom!" I hear from the other room followed by laughter from Chloe and Grace. I smile a little. I love my family. If my mom messes anything up I will not be happy. I walk into the kids room and see Ashton running around with his cars and Grace attempting to chase him. I walk over to where Chloe is sitting on the floor and sit beside her.

"My mom agreed to meet us tomorrow for lunch." I tell her.

"Yay." She says and looks at me. I smile at her.

"Are you sure you won't be too stressed?" I ask. She nods. "Are you sure this one won't be too stressed?" I ask again and put my hand on her stomach.

"Yes ry." She says and puts her hand on top of mine.

"Ashton! Don't mess with that!" Chloe calls and I look over to see Ashton reaching to grab baby powder from the old changing table still in the room. I get up and take it from him.

"Daddy." He whines.

"You know better." I say. He giggles and runs over to his toy bin. "Ashton tomorrow we're going to meet someone for lunch ok?" I ask.

"Ok." He replies clearly not having an interest.

"Are we going to tell him who she is?" Chloe asks as I sit beside her again.

"If she's good and wants to be involved yes." I reply. Chloe nods and leans her head on my shoulder. I kiss her forehead and watch Ashton and Grace run around and play.
