Happy Accident 2

Chapter 17

Ryan's POV

Today is the day that we're going to meet my mother for lunch. 

"Ry, can you get Ashton in his shirt please?" Chloe calls snapping me out of my thoughts. I look over at Ashton who is struggling to get his shirt over his head and help him while Chloe dresses Grace.

"Are you nervous?" Chloe asks me. I finish dressing Ashton and then he runs off to get his shoes.

"Not at all because if she causes problems...we leave." I tell her. She nods and picks up Grace.

"You look beautiful." I tell her, stand up and peck her lips. I follow her out of our bedroom to the living room to see Ashton attempting to put on his shoes. I chuckle and help him.

Once everybody is ready we get in the car and drive off to the cafe.

When we get there, I get Grace out of the car and Chloe helps Ashton out. We walk inside each holding a kid's hand. I see my mom sitting at a booth table in the corner. Chloe and I look at each other and smile at each other then we walk over. She stands up and hugs me. 

"Ryan." She whispers.  I hug her back. I guess I did miss her a little. She pulls away and looks at Ashton and Grace. Grace shyly hides behind Chloe.

"Is this Ashton?" Mom asks us. 

"Yes." Chloe tells her.

"And you must be Grace." Mom says and smiles at Grace.

"I got a car." Ashton says and holds up a red toy car to my mom's face.

"I see that." She tells him with a smile. 

He giggles and we sit down and enjoy a nice meal.

The lunch went surprisingly well. My mom explained that she messed up and wants to be back in our lives. She apologized for everything especially after not being there when my dad passed away. She talked to us about Scott which is her husband now and told us we could meet him whenever we want. We also told her the news about Chloe being pregnant and she was happy for us. 

A/N- So I'm gonna end this book in the next chapter because it's kind of gone to shit and I've lost inspo for it, but I think I'm going to have another book out. Please go add my "Update Book" to your library/reading list because I will be posting on there when the book is out.
