Baekhyun was locked in his room again, restraints around his wrists. He had broken.

He had smashed glass and then cried when the pain hadn't helped him. He was so sad. He asked every day to paint him again, but he never came, and he never answered.

There was only silence. A crushing silence when he was left alone with his thoughts.

There was a heavy pressure on his chest that made it too hard to breathe. It was suffocating and he wanted to punch a hole through his chest, because maybe it'd help him to breathe better. Maybe with that hole, he wouldn't always feel and think of the one in his heart.

Salty tears flowed down his cheeks, and with the file he had taken from another patient, he started to cut at the fabric restraints.

He had to be quick though. And he couldn't make too much movement because they would be watching him.

They were always watching him. They always talked about him; discussing his mental health.

He was sick of it. He wanted out, so he cut at his bonds more vigorously.

When the first one finally fell off, he could have shouted out with joy. But he contained himself and started undoing the other one. As soon as he was free, he jumped out of his bed and flew to the window. It was bolted down.

Everything was bolted down. He started to panic, tears filling his eyes as he pounded on the nearly impenetrable glass with his fists, until they were coming back the most beautiful crimson.

He froze, looking at his hands in amazement. He hit the glass again. More crimson. And again. More. And again. So much more.

He cried. He broke. And he fought when they held him down, and he screamed when they plunged in the needle that soon rendered him unconscious.

As his eyes fluttered shut, Baekhyun quietly whispered, "Can I paint you again?"
