"Uh yeah sure" I sit in my chair. "Did you mean all those words in the letters?" Keith starts off. "Y-yeah. I understand if you don't feel the same" I look down and fiddle with my fingers and then they stop by Keith putting his hands on mine "What are you talking about?" I look up. "W-what?" "Lance, of course, I feel the same. You can ask Pidge. I confessed to her that I liked you but I was afraid you didn't feel the same." Tears start to form in my eyes. "Lance, I like you. During the mission to find Allura was like torture because I wanted to tell you. I had it all planned out. I would have Hunk help me bake your favorite cookies. Chocolate chip. And then I would have Pidge take you to the training deck for you to meet Allura and Shiro and they would give you the cookies. And then Allura would take you to the Lion Deck and hand you a rose and tell you to go in front of Red to meet me. And then I'd tell you everything" I just sit there. God, I want to kiss him so bad. "Lance?" I look up at him. "C'mon say some-" I kiss him. He backs away. "Lance-" "I'm sorry I shouldn't have" I run back to Hunks room.
"Hey, Lan- What's wrong" I run to his arms crying. I've never cried in front of Hunk. Well, actually I think one time back on Earth. Abuela yelled at me cause I gave Mom "disrespect". "Lance whats wrong buddy?" Hunk pulls me off of him and looks me in the eyes. "You can tell me any-" "I kissed him..." There's a long pause. "... and I don't think he wanted it." Hunk hugs me. "I'm sorry Lance. But maybe he did. He just probably wanted to talk about his feelings before anything got serious." I sniffle. "Yeah. Thank God you're here. Even through everything you're still here. Thanks, Hunk" "No problem buddy. Now, do you wanna make cookies?" "That would be nice" I smile and go to the kitchen with Hunk.
a few hours later
I grab a pen and paper.
Dear Keith,
About today I'm so sorry. I never meant to push you. I appreciate all those kind words you said earlier. I didn't know what to say and I let my actions get the best of me. If you want to talk, I'm fine with that. I hope you can forgive me.
