Twelve

He watched her from the top of the hill closest to the truck, fists tight enough to turn his knuckles white. That man was all over her, touching her flawless skin. She had become even more beautiful since the last time he was able to see her in person. Her body was tighter, firmer, and her skin though still light was darker than when they were living back in Boston. Her hair had grown much longer as well falling around her in dark wet chunks.

He noticed then, the dog paddling around the two of them, bringing a smile to his face. She thought the dog would protect her. No, no, nothing would protect her from him. Not the dog, nor the restraining order put on him. He finally found her again. Found her in the arms of another man. A tool, by the looks of it, and he wasn't going to let her get away with that.

He saw the man lean down, touching what was his. He growled out in anger. He'd have to teach both of them a lesson.

Soon, he promised himself. Soon. For now, he backed away from view but not fast enough. As though she could sense him he watched his pretty possession turn her head, looking right up at him. He smiled as she tried to see him, but the sun was in her eyes.

"I see you, but you can't see me." He said as he turned away, laughing as he left.

Raelynn felt her blood run cold. She couldn't see who it was, but she knew. A deep feeling in her stomach told her it was him. The man paused for a moment, then turned and walked away. Panic set in. It was obvious he had no problem violating the restraining order. Anger followed the panic. She moved across the country to be rid of him. To get away from that monster.

Why couldn't he just leave her alone?

Raelynn stepped out of the water and ran to the truck, reaching into the back seat.

"RayRay?" Ashley's voice sounded so distant even a few feet away.

"Raelynn? Raelynn?" Sebastian voice surfaced but she ignored him.

Raelynn ran up the hill the man disappeared behind, 9mm pistol in hand. She came to the top of the hill.

Nothing. Merely more dry grass and tumbleweeds.

"What?" but he was just there?

"Raelynn?!" she jumped, turning with the pistol raised only then realizing that it was just a soaking wet Sebastian. His hands flew up as he jumped back.

"Whoa, whoa easy there!" he said. She quickly put the gun down and tucked it into her bikini strap.

"What the hell was that?" Sebastian asked. Raelynn took a fleeting glance back to the barren grounds before turning back to Sebastian.

"Nothing." She said, her voice shaking slightly.

"Like hell I'm going to take that explanation, you just pointed a gun that I didn't even know you had with you at me!" he was right, she sighed, opening her mouth to give a quick explanation.

"That's it, we're going home and having a long conversation!" Ashley's voice made Raelynn jump again and she turned to find her and Chip walking up the hill.

"But-"

"No buts! I have been patient hoping you'd tell me what is going on, but now that I know you carry a gun with you, you are telling me everything!" Ashley stopped inches away from Raelynn and glared down at her. Raelynn's eyes widened at the fierce look on her best friend's face.

"Do you understand me?" she said as she crossed her arms. Raelynn nodded meekly as Ashley huffed before reaching out and hugging Raelynn tightly to her.

"Can't. Breathe!" Raelynn cried out.

"Oh, sorry, anyways, let us get going!"

Sebastian was baffled and horny the entire drive back to the house. One minute he had been splashing in the water with Raelynn enjoying his time as though he were a teenager again with his school crush half naked in front of him. The next, the same girl turned into a woman ready to shoot someone. He was baffled because he had no idea she was carrying. Being a Marine, one would think that he would be able to tell someone was carrying. Usually someone who did so had a tell. Either their stride was brave and cocky, like they were daring someone to play with them, waiting for a moment to take it out, or they were unsure, showing it somewhere open so that people would see it and just leave them alone.

She had neither. Even though he had yelled at her, he wasn't as mad as he knew he should have been for somebody pointing a gun in his face. The reason for that was because he noticed she had the gun on safety, her finger right next to it ready to click it off. She had training, and by her responses, a lot of it. She wouldn't have reacted until she had really seen a threat. Which made him wonder what was on the hill that caught her attention.

What had made him horny, was her tucking that damn gun underneath her bikini strap making it tug down gently, but enough to know she kept herself clean and smooth. It made him want to bury his face between her legs and see what kind of noises he could make come out of that pretty little mouth.

They got to the house before dark, unloading the equipment in silence. By the time they sat down the mood surrounding them was dark and dismal. Ashley sat down in the middle of the large sectional in the too big living room. It didn't scream of family, it held a few photos, wall decorations and color coordinated furniture. All professionally designed. Mother couldn't have even taken the time to make it feel homey.

Sebastian shook his head as he saw Raelynn take a seat in the reading chair across from Ashley, bracing her arms on her knees. She had long since put her pants and tank top back on, but that didn't make her body affect him any less. He took a seat on the edge of the sofa between both of them. It had been a little more than 24 hours since he arrived, he didn't know Raelynn from a hole in the wall, but he still felt the need to be there. Whatever was going on, it needed to be addressed, especially since Raelynn felt the need to have a gun on her at all times.

"Okay, um, story time I guess." Raelynn said, before taking a breath, and starting her story.
