Chapter 6

Recent

~Alex's POV~

"So you get scared at night?" Cam asked me with a cute little smile.

I looked away and put my good over my head.

"Maybe.." I giggled. "Yea, I have anxiety attacks a lot." I looked him in the eye and he's still smiling. " I know I know it's stupid." I look away again.

"No alex that adorable. It's okay to get scared." He grabbed my hand.

I looked over to see the waves crashing on the white sand. I see tall palm trees with green leaves that glisten in the moonlight. Cameron's hand is warm and it's not awkward even though there's a long silence.

"So are you ready for tomorrow?" Cam asked me.

I nodded, " I can't wait to get to know all of you," I said "but mostly you." I smile

"Do you promise you won't start hitting on any of them? Please .." He gives me puppy dog eyes

I grab his hand tighter and squeeze it. "I promise. You're the one I first saw and I instantly liked you." I said.

He smiled and picked me up basically throwing me over his shoulder. "CAM STOP!" I laughed and whined at the same time.

"Nope!" He said popping the p and running to the water.

"NO PLEASE NO WATER!" He kept running. I should've known this guy was trouble!😂

He plopped me down on the water and I got a huge rush of the warm water. I know it's weird that the water is warm at 3;45 in the morning. But hey, it's Florida.

I laughed even though I didn't want to. But I could see his smile from the bright moonlight and it made me smile. It's the first day I've known this kid and I feel like I want to spend the rest of my life with him. What's wrong with me.

"I would kiss you." Says cam. And he wraps his arms around my waist.

"Then why don't you?" I asked.

"It's the first day I've even met you. I feel weird to even hug you because I want to respect any boundaries you've got but I still can resis-" I cut him off as our lips touched. Am I really kissing a guy I just met? Haha wow. But I think I'm gonna try to stick with this guy.

We kissed for almost two minutes. Wow. "I'm sorry" I said to him because now I feel like I'm breaking his boundaries.

"What? Why? I wanted it. More than you did." He said and I shook my head. I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the water.

We both brushed ourselves off and shook the water off mostly. It's about 85 degrees right now, I know. It's cray.

"I'm dry" he said.

I look down still pretty soaked.

"Haha I'm not.." I said.

He walked behind me and look off his black hoodie that said Surf on it in the corner.

He slipped it over my head and pulled my hair out from the jacket and he turned me around.

"There." He said

"Thank you." I said and grabbed his hand again, taking him towards a big rock, surrounded by medium sized rocks, as big as a microwave-ish. I let go of this hand and climbed up to the big rock which was about the size of a minivan.

"Woah" I said as soon as I saw the view. I could see out to where the sun was rising and the boats out there and the perfect water and everything. It's gorgeous.

I pulled out my phone and took a picture of it.

"I know. Breathtaking." Cameron said looking at me.

"I know that's why I'm taking a picture, so we will remember this." I add

"No I meant you, not the view." He pulls me closer to him. We both lay back under a small palm tree gazing up at the fading stars, soon to be daytime.

I scooted over and lay on his chest as he grabs my hand. I fell alseep. On a rock. At 4 am. With I guy I barley met.

But it's all okay, because I think I'm in love.
