Chapter 10

"I'm sorry you threw up. What do you think it was?" Cameron asked me. I looked over to the ocean and I didn't know if I should tell him the truth.

"Cam look it's a long story and I don't wana make you upset." I told him.

"Alex come on. If you couldn't tell, I really wana know. Please tell me." He pleaded. Fine. I'll tell him.

"Fine. Remember how I told you my dad bailed on us...?" I said and he nodded. "Well, he got in jail for 15 years and he's getting out in a month. He gets a quarter custody of me."

Cam stopped walking and looked at me with concern in his eyes. "So you've never met this guy. He could try to kill you. Or he could be super amazing. But you really have no idea. Am I right?" Cam said.

"Yeah and I threw up.. because im.. I'm just really nervous what's gonna happen. Like do you understand?!"
He looked at me questioningly.

"I HAVENT MET HIM BEFORE. He could be a complete psycho!!!!" I cried.

"Alex, it's gonna be okay. I promise I will be here for you no matter what happens. That's a PROMISE." he said holding out his pinky. "Trust me."

I hugged his pinky with mine making him keep his promise. I'm glad I have cameron here for me. "So maybe we should go back and get our stuff. " I said. Cam nodded and we turned around to walk back.

I looked up at the stars and imagined how my dad would be. Then I shook my head of the thought and looked down at mine and Cameron's hands wrapped in eachother. He's so cute.

Eventually we got back to the fire and where we had everything. "Alex I've been calling you. Why didn't you answer?!" Jordan came over to me and grabbed my arm.

"Sorry I left my phone here. We just went for a walk." I said.

"Okay. I just wasn't sure where you'd went." She said. "Me and Toni are gonna head back. What are your plans?" She asked me.

I looked back at cam and he blurts out "I'll have her home by like 11." I look back at Jordan and smile.

"Ok see YA later. Let yourself in Alex."
Cameron went over to talk to nash about his plans because he always hangs out with him. I picked up me and Cameron's stuff and put it in my bag and rolled up our towels.

"Okay let's just go to my house, nobody's there." Cam said after he picked up his sunglasses out of the sand.

"Okay. Sorry forgot to pick up your sunglasses." I grabbed his hand.

"It's okay." he smiled at me. "Be right back." He grabbed his phone from my bag and walked away and called someone. Meanwhile, I just scrolled through my instagram feed.

He came back and grabbed my hand again. "I called a cab since you're not feeling good."

"Cam we coulda walked." I said

"Babe, you threw up." he said.

"Ugh. Fine." We walked over to the street and the cab pulled up shortly and we got in.
