Aimee had just come out of her Biology class and she was now heading for Human Analysis, she still didn't get why it was called that, it made no sense to her at the time, but she figured she would just let it go.
As she walked in, she looked to the front of the class and acknowledged Arden briefly, but then she stopped when she noticed people looking at her weird.
Soon enough her class started and the boy that talked to her a few days back was sitting next to her. She couldn't really remember his name, she was stuck between Cedric and Eric.
"Hey Clumsy", the guy said, she frowned at his nickname for her, but it fitted her in a sense since she was quite the klutz.
"Hi uh... my name is Aimee not clumsy", Aimee said still trying to figure out the guys name.
"The Name's Derek, I assume you forgot", Aimee looked guiltily at him but then turned her attention back to the front of the class because it looked like the class was about to start.
"Okay class, its a new week and with a new week comes a new aspect of this broad topic, today we will be doing women and alcohol in a whole", Arden said in an authoritative manner.
Aimee smiled to herself, it was almost as if he got his topics from the time they spent together. That night he went to her apartment, things got out of hand, Arden couldn't handle the rate at which things were going and neither could she. It was ludicrous in a sense to others that so much tention would be between a student and a teacher.
"What the hell does all this stuff have to do with the topic", someone said in the back, almost too loud.
"I beg your pardon?", Arden asked clearly angry by the rude interruption.
"Oh no", Derek said with a groan, he almost looked annoyed.
"I said 'what the hell does this have to do with the topic', this is all ridiculous, if I wanted to know about every aspect of a damn woman I couldn't have taken a bloody women class, why the bloody hell is this subject even called 'Human Analysis'? ", the guy said challenging manner.
Aimee looked at Derek as he put his face in his hand and shook his head.
"Do you know the guy?", Aimee asked, she could only assume that he did.
"Yeah, he's my cousin, he just likes to question everything, its funny at times but other wise it's quite overbearing", Arden replied
Aimee just replied a 'oh' since she didn't know what else to say. Arden was addressing the guy, but Aimee wasn't paying attention since she knew Arden would go beyond his limits just to get it out to people that the best way to understand a human being is analyzing their mind, if you know the way they think you can never go wrong.
The remaining hours of the class just faded away, since most of the time was taken up by the debate that Professor Van Houston and the guy had.
She was getting up from her seat when Derek held her hand back from leaving, she pulled her hand away as soon as it made contact with his skin, it was strange how all her reflexes went out the window when it came to Arden, yet with others it always seemed to be there.
"I was wondering if you wanted to have coffee with me?", Derek asked casually as if it wasn't a big deal. Aimee contemplated it for a moment but then quickly obliged.
They walked silently towards the coffee shop a few streets away from the university, they couldn't go to Starbucks since it was too far away.
Derek opened the door for Aimee and they both went it, what a cliche move she thought; it was highly overused.
