Author's Note:
Miss me? Yeah I don't miss me either. Reason why I haven't been on Wattpad or the internet in general: The electric company overcharged us three times our usual bill. So I was sitting in a humid house with no access to the outside world doing housework and other yard work related things all throughout May. And just a head's up! I probably won't be on as often because of Band Camp. Just letting you guys know. Also, let me know if you guys want a part 3!

Nico was hesitant going through the barrier. He didn't know if he wanted to go back home or to step through the barrier and face the friends he practically abandoned. One person, in particular, he was especially nervous about seeing again. But it was too late to back out now. He drove here for 10 grueling hours and driving back now after all that time spent getting there just seemed ridiculous.'Come on, Nico,' He thought, 'You can do this.'
Nico took a shaky breath and placed his right foot through the invisible barrier. His left foot slowly followed and very quickly, his entire body was inside. The mist from the front of the barrier melted away and there Nico saw Chiron and a mysterious little girl by the age of 5 waiting for him. Nico hesitantly looked at Chiron and gave a shaky smile. His nervousness was evident and his hesitance towards the strange child next to Chiron was noticeable.
"Ah! Nico! It is a pleasure seeing you again! I hope you don't mind that I brought some... company." Chiron said.
Nico quickly shook his head. "Not at all, Chiron. I'm just a bit... surprised is all. I was expecting us to be meeting alone." He said.
Chiron smiled at Nico and looked at the young girl. Nico glanced at her and quickly brought his attention to the long, deep scar that ran from the tip of her forehead, over her right eye, down her collar bone and disappearing down her simple T-shirt. It looked fresh, as indicated by the pinkish-red coloring at the edges of the scar, and the milky color of her right eye indicated blindness. The girl, as if sensing Nico was glancing at her face, quickly tried to pull her hair over it. She was stopped by Chiron grabbing her hand and giving her a stern look.
"Yes, well something came up that required (y/n)'s temporary guardian's attention. No one was willing to watch her so I took it upon myself to bring her with me to welcome you." Chiron said.
Nico nodded and looked back at the now named (y/n). She was fiddling with her hands nervously with her head bowed. Her small body was hunched to make her appear smaller than she actually was and her (long/medium/short) hair was covering her already bowed face. Her constantly moving hands indicated ADHD, the most common demigod trait. Her feet were always shifting, giving away her uneasiness and hesitation. Nico couldn't tell if it was from him or something else. Maybe another camper? That could explain why no one would watch her for Chiron. Or maybe it was something far more sinister than that. Whatever the reason, she obviously was on edge.
Her scar, while not completely covered, Nico didn't know if it was caused by human or monster hands. It was obviously fresh but healed enough to wear the risk of infection isn't a huge worry. Nico doubted it came from someone from Camp. It wouldn't be as bad looking if it were. If anything, it'd be a semi-deep scratch and not the huge gash it was. Several scenarios could tell Nico what happened. Abuse, monster attack, car wreck etc. The later seemed less than plausible than the other two, but it is a possibility. Nothing at Camp, other than the lava wall or maybe a Harpy, could have caused it. Campers wouldn't dare try to slash that deep, even veteran demigods who had plenty of PTSD to go around.
