"Hey Guanlin," I called him. Without answering, he just lifted his head and turned his gaze to me. Weird. His gaze seemed cold. There was no warmness or naughtiness anymore.

Just wow. How can someone change so fast after being nice and slightly sweet last night?

Guanlin's brows knitted as he kept on staring at me with questioning look. "What's the matter?" He finally asked.

"Err.. Someone called you. He's outside." Damn. Did I just stutter?

Without saying anything, he then got up from his seat and went out, leaving me alone beside his seat.

I frowned my brows a little. What is wrong with him? Why is he being cold to me so sudden?

But then a classmate of mine came to me and asked about Mathematics questions. I shrugged the thought of Guanlin off and helped her with a warm smile.

Let it be. Lai Guanlin is a bipolar anyway.

Sohye did not come today, so yeah. I would just skip eating rather than eating alone without her. It's no fun without Sohye, though 🙃

I walked to the locker section and went to my locker. While arranging my book, I suddenly heard a conversation of two people. One of them, I know who it was. I closed my locker and focused to the conversation.

It was Guanlin and a junior. What's her name again? Oh, yeah her name is Na Soyeon but out of nowhere she asked people to call her Nashy. I mean. Yeah.

"I know you like her, sunbae (senior). But I just still want to tell you that I like you a lot.." She said shyly.

I could see Guanlin's cold face expression. He did not even smile nor say anything. "Are you done?" He finally said when Nashy remained silent.

She seemed shocked by his words, but still holding the smile on her lips. "Err.. Ye-yes?"

"Now listen carefully. Thank you for liking me, but no thank you I don't like you. I don't even know you anyway. You said you know that I love Yunhee then why bother confessing? What do you expect? I will change my heart easily to like you just because she doesn't like me back?

That is totally wrong. I will wait for her even for so long.."

Not only Nashy, even I was surprised by his words too. Did he really have to give those harsh words to her?

"So if you're done, excuse me..." He was about to walk away, but Nashy quickly gave him a heart-shaped box. "I understand that, but can you please at least accept my chocolate? I made it by myself for you."

Guanlin rolled his eyes in annoyance as he pulled her hands away, making the chocolate box fell onto the floor. "No, thanks. Keep it to yourself." With that, he then walked away, slightly bumping her shoulder and made her stumble before falling on the floor.

I heaved out a sigh and slow-jogged to Nashy. I picked up the chocolate box and helped her to get up.

There, she was shocked. "Su-sunbae."

I flashed a warm smile and tapped her shoulder softly. "You deserve better, Nashy," I said as I handed her the chocolate box. Her eyes seemed watery as she looked down to the white floor. "I'm so sorry, sunbae."

I lifted my eyebrows as a sign that I didn't understand. "What? Why are you apologizing?"

"I'm so sorry for liking him. I'm sorry for liking your boyfriend," she said.

Upon hearing that, I then shook my head. "No, Nashy. He is not my boyfriend." I then left without waiting her response.

I need to talk to Guanlin.

To be very honest, that was not the first time for me to see Guanlin rejecting girls harshly. He did that a lot. He never accepted anyone. Sure it is his business but his harsh words is painful for the girls. And I don't like that.

"Hey. Guanlin!" I half shouted as I stepped closer to him.

He stopped walking and turned around. No words slipped out of his mouth.

"Did you really have to do that?"

Guanlin frowned his brows to my question. "What?"

"Do you really have to reject the girls? I mean, yeah sure you can reject them but do you really have to say such harsh words? I know you don't like them, but you still can say nice words, right?" I said.

But he remained silent.

"Come on, Guanlin. Stop being so cold and mean. Can't you be nice to them just like how warm you are towards me? I-" My words were cut when he suddenly interrupted,

"No."

"I don't want to."

"I won't."

I sighed. "Why?"

"Can't you understand me, Yunhee? I just love you and I don't like them! I don't want to be nice to them because they aren't you. I want to be warm only to you because you're the only one that is special to me. So stop asking me to be nice to others." With that, he then went away.

I was left frozen. Without I even realized, my cheeks burned red at his words.

Damn. What is happening to me?
