Mercedes POV

"I love you guys so much!" I gush. My mom sniffles and Jordan says nothing. "We love you to sweetie," I hear a whistle being blown and I turn around to see the dorm leader waving the students over. "This is it huh?" Jordan says hands stuffed in his pockets "Yeah." I smile sadly at him wiping my tears. He wraps his arms around me in a hug, "Be safe alright." I nod and he kisses my cheek "Alright Ma let's go." He smiles at me and tugs on moms arm. She gives me a sad look and I wave. She starts sobbing and Jordan rolls his eyes taking mom under his arm bringing her to the car. I laugh

"Ladies and gentleman!" Lacy the dorm leader blows the whistle again. I run to her in front the dorm "Now that we have everyone here I'd just like to say, congratulations!" She claps and the kids cheer "College is absolutely fun! A lot of hard work but fun. Some of your roommates didn't arrive yet." She looks on her clipboard

"But no worries! They will be in an hour or so. Please look around and enjoy the campus we have a lot of fun events planned tonight so please make friends and lovers." She winks at the end "Condoms are your bestfriend." She says and kids laugh

She goes off on a tangent and I just look around. I'm here in college on campus. "I'm gonna have sex with any hot male that walks." I turn to this brown haired girl and her group of friends. Definitely not hanging with them. "She just keeps on talking." Someone besides me groans. "No way!" I say jumping on Andre. He laughs "Omg you're in my hall!" I jump up and down while he holds my waist. "That I am." He smirks. Gosh he looks hot. He waves his hand in my face. "Earth to Mercedes stop looking at my glow up." I scoff "Yeah right what glow up?" I question

"Alright everyone see you tonight!" I'm glad I have a friend here already some kids stand there awkwardly. "Hey!" I wave to a girl half Andres height. She turns to me from the ground. "Hi." Her voice is squeaky and she's so small and cute "I'm Mercedes this is Andre." She waves to me and to him blushing. Oh boy "I'm Kathrine." I nod "Nice to meet you! What high school did you go to?" At this she smiles bright, My phone starts ringing "I'll be right back." I smile at them and they start talking without me.

"Mom I'm fine ok I actually met up with Andre and met this new girl name Katherine. Andres in my hall isn't that great!" I gush. She doesn't respond immediately "Mom?"

I look at the caller ID. Gosh I was talking to a complete stranger all this time. "I'm sorry wrong number." I rush hanging up and I mentally punch my face.

When I walk up to them Andre has like 6 girls talking to him and Katherine looks uncomfortable. "What do you think Katy?" Andre ask her when I reach. She looks surprised "Um I like it I guess I prefer season 2." His eyes widen "No way so do I!" He shouts and she smiles "I'll watch the show tonight Dre how about that." One girl says obviously mad the spotlight isn't on her "We can watch it together." Another girl says

His mouth opens and no words come out. The whistle stops the conversation "Events start in an hour at pleasant park." (Fortnite reference lol)

"Let's start heading there." Andre and Katherine to me "Yes please." Andre takes a hold of my arm, the girls glare. I lend my other arm to Katherine, she takes it

"Let's go!" I shout pulling them along and they laugh besides me

"I'm exhausted." I breathe out "Same." Katherine says touching her blotched cheeks Andre is currently with the blonde from before.

My phone rings again "Fuck!" I say looking at the same number that called me for the fifth time today after I basically told them wrong number. "Again?" She ask and I nod "Maybe you should let a boy answer, I used to do that let my brother answer unknown calls always scared them away." She shrugs. She's right. Jordan. The thought of him and my mom crying makes me sad.
