I don't know how much time has passed since I caused all the animals to go crazy. Can you really blame me for biting Magnus? It hurts to have your tail stepped on.

My stomach starts to growl. I lower my nose and sniff. A delicious scent fills my snout and makes me drool. Rabbit.

The wind begins to blow and I lose the scent. I maneuver my ears to find the rabbit's position. I follow the sound into a clearing. I sneak my way around to the other side so that if the wind blows again, the rabbit can't smell me.

I spot my prey and begin crawling towards it. Another smell fills my nose, but I'm too hungry to acknowledge it.

As I close the distance between me and my food, it begins to snow. I look up to watch it fall and make a rookie mistake: I step in a stick and break it.

The rabbit takes off and something to the side of me begins chasing it.

"Oh no you don't," I whisper to myself, chasing the rabbit and the other animal. I can tell now that it is another fox.

The other fox closes in on the rabbit and pounces on it, breaking its neck in one bite.

Who do they think they are taking my food? Unfortunately for them, I'm not giving it up so easily.

"That's my prey." I try to say it as confidently as possible. "Give it to me."

The fox turns around. "No way. I caught it."

She's so... beautiful. Her fur is a gorgeous shade of red and her tail is super fluffy. I almost forget im suppose to be fight for my food. "I would have caught it if that stupid stick wasn't in the way," I say, kicking the nearest stick away.

"Who are you?" She asks.

For a split second I want to introduce myself as Eli, but that thought quickly leaves my head. She might be pretty but that doesn't mean I'm gonna to let her call me that. That right is reserved for my brother.

"Eliot. You?" I tilt my head in anticipation for what name such a fox would have.

"Ivy." She lifts her head high in the air. Such a beautiful name for a beautiful fox.

"So, Ivy, where are you going?" I ask, straightening my head. It's not fun being alone, and if Ivy would let me, I would love to travel with her.

"Why do you want to know?" She lowers her head and bares her teeth. A little defensive but I can get over that.

"Just wondering," I assure her. I take a step back; honestly, she kind of scares me. "So?"

She calms down and answers, "I don't know. I am just traveling. My family kicked me out." She's so vulnerable right now... it's adorable. "Why am I telling you this? I don't even know you."

I know how she feels. "My family kicked me out, too. I'm looking for a place I can stay forever. Maybe we can travel together?"

"Why? Like I said before, I don't even know know you." Jeez, is she always this defensive?

"You can trust me. I wouldn't hurt anything but my my prey." And a bull but that's not important. "Which you are still keeping from me. What do you say?" I take a few steps towards her. Snow is piling up on her head. Not a lot but it's there.

"Fine," She reluctantly agrees. "But if you do anything that annoys me, you're gone."

"Good." I walk forward and take a bite of the rabbit. Afterward, she comes forward and takes a bite. I'm so happy she said yes.

I can tell that she's happy to not be alone anymore, too. As long as I have her, I don't think I'll feel alone ever again.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ the end ////////////////////

First of all, I want to thank everyone who read these two stories. I didn't think anyone who actually read them or like them.
Secondly, I'm sorry it took me forever to come out with the chapters in the book. I was never sure what to write. I hated leaving everyone on half a year long hiatuses (That doesn't look right but I don't know how to make hiatus plural).
I was originally going to have more chapters for Eli's story but I didn't want to keep leaving people on cliffhangers so I decided to just go ahead and tie it in to Ivy's story.

I hope everyone enjoyed it anyway. Thanks for reading my stories.
