"Thanks," I said while Kat and I proceeded towards the elevators.

I pushed the button and within seconds, the elevator came down.

We stepped inside and Kat pressed our floor's button. Even the elevators are very modernized. It has mirrors for walls. I stared at myself deep realizing that so much has happened in the last 4 years. I got married to the person I love and had his kids. But then fate had other plans which caused Karan and I to break. He was my pillar, my motivator, my happiness. He was my everything.

Actually no, I can't lie to myself. He still is my everything. I still don't understand how I'm surviving without him. I always considered our love story to be some kind of a modern fairytale.

"We're finally married!" I squealed to Karan. "Yes Mrs. Jaitly," Karan spoke lifting me up bridal style and proceeded to walk inside his, I mean, our room as I giggled in his arms. "We're finally done with all the rituals and everything and now you're mine." He said as he put me down on the rose petaled bed.

He pecked my forehead, then my nose, and then my lips. "I want to take off my jewelry first." I timidly spoke knowing what's on my way tonight. He nodded and went on taking off my jewelry for me. As he took off the jewelry, he aimed for my Mangalsutra. "I'd actually like to wear that," I revealed.

"Really? Why?" He questioned smiling while removing my veil from my head.

"Because aside from our wedding ring, I'd like the world to know that hey, I'm Mrs. Karan Jaitly" I divulged while giving a small kiss on his nose.

"I see. Even the Chura? (Punjabi Wedding bangles)" he inquired.

"Of course. I believe that the Chura is the most symbolic article of marriage" I said as he organized my jewelry in the jewelry boxes.

"Okay. I'm going to keep these locked in our safe which is hidden in the walk-in closet." He said walking away towards the closet.

"You remember the password?" He inquired before stepping in.

I nodded yes. The password is Bella 1215. Bella stands for the pet name that Karan has given me although I don't know why he likes that name. He said that it suits me. And 1215 symbolizes December 15 which is the day that Karan and I first kissed in the elevator. I kinda feel that's an easy password but then again, there are two parts in cracking the safe open. Karan also has our fingerprints scanned into the safe just to be sure that no one can crack it open.

I waited on the round shape king sized bed until he returned. Mansi ma has set everything to my liking and it doesn't seem like this room was a bachelor's pad before. Now it screams that this is a married couple's room. I smiled as I glanced around the room. They were pictures of Karan and I flooded everywhere on the walls. There's a gigantic picture of only me above our chest drawer. It's an off-guard picture and I don't even know when and how Karan took this picture. I looked at the ceiling and saw my reflection. I turned red looking at that because the ceiling was made out of mirrors. I'm pretty sure Karan had something to do with that.

Just then he returned and made his way on top of the bed. He grabbed a handful of roses from the bed and flung some at me as he sat next to me. "Here," I said putting forth both my hands which were embedded with mehndi (henna). "Find your name," I said gleefully.

The moment I came out of my memory, I realized that I was standing outside of my room. I didn't even realize when I walked out of the elevator and made my way to our rooms. Kat grabbed the passkey from my hand and opened the door.

"Get inside," she commanded in annoyance. "I can't carry you inside". I nodded understanding why she's behaving like this. I'm a lost cause.

"Jesus knows when she'll be over this," she muttered silently under her breath as she and I both stepped into my room. My luggage was already inside thanks to the hotel staff.
