"Well isnt that cute" Carson said behind me, as we stood in the doorway.

My eyes stayed fixed on the roses that layed on the door mat.

Toby has been leaving flowers every day for the past 2 weeks.

Before i could comprehend what was happening, Carson reached around me, grabbed the flowers, and tossed them in the garbage bin.

His eyes flashed to mine. "What too harsh?" He smirked and jumped in the driver's seat of the car.

I closed my mouth, not knowing what to say. I just walked down the porch steps and got in the jeep too.

We drove silently, Carson stealing glances my way as i checked my messages.

All from Toby.

"He's a bit too persistent dont you think" Carson said and pulled a cigarette from his pocket. He did that when he was stressed.

Ever since his parents failed to be parents.

"Can i have a huff?"

Worry flashed in his eyes as he glanced over.
"No, you cant smoke. "

Ok. "Then neither can you" i said calmly and smoothly plucked the cigarette from his fingers, and flicked it out the window.

"That was a bitchy move" He snapped.

I folded my arms and sat down in my seat.

You could say things have been tense between Carson and I.

He was mad I never told him about toby.

I was angry he never told me he was a wolf.

But i couldnt blame him, I was a hypocrite.

And now I was losing my best friend.

I was nothing good.

Everything came crashing in that moment.

I was a walking disaster.

A sob broke through me and I opened the car door, causing Carson to curse and stomp on the breaks. But I was already running out of the car and into forest.

I thought I heard Carson's voice, but all I could hear were my own sobs. Everything spun as my heart pounded in my chest.

Everything hurt so bad, and I couldnt escape.

My legs moved as if they could outrun my head.

I just wanted things to go back to normal.

But they never would.

I was ripped out of my thoughts when my foot caught on something and I tumbled to the ground, a cry of pain leaving my lips as agony ripped through my ankle. I held my aching foot and cried harder.

Not because of the pain,

But because I couldnt even run from my problems correctly.

A presence was next to me in seconds, their arms wrapping around me immediately. "Charlie! Charlie, where does it hurt?" Carson panicked as his dark eyes scanned my body for injuries.

His worried eyes fell on the ankle I was holding.

"Let me see ok?" He said softly and waited for me to nodd before he gently pulled off my ankle boot. He pulled back the sock and held my foot in his hand. "Fuck Charlie you sprained it."

He sniffed the air and his eyes darkened. "Youre bleeding. Where."

I shook my head no and tried to stop his hands. But before I could stop it,
