I woke up with a start as the pilot came on the speaker saying we were landing in 10 minutes. I was so happy that  I slept the whole flight.

I woke Kara up since she was a heavy sleeper. She always was but, I don't understand how she could sleep through a lot of noise between Bill snoring, people talking, the flashing seat belt light beeping, and the pilot talking. It was quite noisy. I shook Kara awake and then nudged Bill a little. He was a nice man but I don't know if he's grumpy in the morning.

"Wh-what? Are we in Narnia yet?" Kara groaned.

"I thought we were going to London not Narnia? What was YOUR dream about?"

"Oh, sorry. Nothing. The usual with the talking lion and naked goat-man thing." Kara said as she sat up and fastened her seat belt.

"Yup, the usual." I agreed as Bill came around.

"Girls, are we here yet?" Bill asked groggily.

"Yup, we're here all right." I said as I smiled.  I looked at the beautiful city lights outside my window.

****Airport

The landing was bumpy but that bad. We were siting in the middle of the plane so we had to wait a little to get off. Once we got off we went to baggage claim. I looked for my hot pink luggage with my name on the handle as Kara looked for her cheetah print luggage. We each had 4 bags and they came right at the same time. We said bye to Bill as we passed him by. He said maybe he see us around. That would be nice. We called our parents to tell them our plan and that everything was fine.

We went to the bank in the airport and changed our money from dollars to pounds and euros.

As we were walking out the doors I grabbed a few maps and looked over our information. We had to go to the Hilton Hotel. We got a cab and I told him the hotel's address. The ride wasn't that long and we got to see the city. It was just as I imagined and a little bit better. Kara and I kept pointing things out to each other. Lenny, the cab driver told us to watch where we are so we could get used to walking back to the hotel. We studied our surroundings. Kara and I saw a Starbucks and we looked at each other and smiled.

"After we go to the hotel." I said.

"I know, I know. I'm just thinking about what I want." Kara replied smoothly.

"Me too."

We drove up the block and stopped at the hotel. Kara and I were thankful Starbucks was right down the road.

Lenny gave us his number to call in case we ever needed a ride. We took it gratefully since he was so nice. He helped with our bags as we went into the hotel.

The lobby was huge. The hotel itself was huge! It was decorated beautifully with neutral colors with bright pops of red. It even smelled good. A bellhop came right up to us when he saw all our bags. He kind of looked like Estaban from Suite Life Of Zack And Cody. He put them on the cart and took us to the front desk. A pretty lady named Meg helped us. We were suite 516 on the 9th floor. She told us if we needed anything to let her know. She gave us the room service number and menu.

We followed the bellhop Henry up to our room. Thank god the elevator was huge so all of our stuff and few other guests could fit in it. It truns out theres 15 floor in the hotel.

We got out of the elevator and made a right and went almost to the end of the hallway and that's where our room is. I took out my key and unlocked the door and gasped.

Our room was huge! It had beige walls (it was a hotel) and brown tweed carpet. On the left was a small kitchen with maple cabinets and black granite. The floor had some beige tile with stainless a stainless steel fridge, sink and stove. Then there was a little dining room area with 4 chairs. After that was a couch against the left wall with a flat screen in front of it and windows on the back wall. To the right was a closet, Kara's bedroom with a queen sized bed. The door after that was the bathroom which was just like the kitchen but it was a bathroom. Finally the door after that was my bedroom. An exact replica of Kara's bedroom. Beige was with pictures hanging on it. On the far wall was the bed with a white bedspread with white flower stitching on it. It had a dresser and a good sized closet.

Henry helped unload our luggage off the cart and said good-bye. Kara and I looked around and unpacked our stuff and to try to make our hotel room feel like home. We put our coats in the hall closet and our clothes and shoes in our bedroom closets' and dressers'.

It was the middle of the afternoon so we wanted to look around town and find a good take-out place. We changed from our sweats to regular jeans and a t-shirt with jeans. We planned to go down to Starbucks first to get a drink and some food.
