Ayesha's POV

I am extremely satisfied with my life! I have a wonderful family, a beautiful mother (Ruqaiya), the best father (Yahya), My older brother Akram who recently got married to Asma and last but not the least my wonderful little sister Ammarah who just turned 15 last month.

With such a wonderful family, what more can i ask for from Allah? Well, ummm...i can ask for a husband! A husband, the most important part of a woman's life. Her better half.

Every girl wants a husband who loves her more than anyone else! I was no different. I too wanted a loving, caring husband. Someone special who i can share my happiness and sorrow with, who i can joke around with. Will i ever get the type of husband i want?

Although I always thought about my marriage, i never told anybody about it besides Akram. He was really close to me and i shared all my feelings with him. I thought Ammarah was too small to know anything about marriage.

Sometimes I think if caring and loving guys still existed. In today's time it was obvious for any girl to think like this. Everyone knows what type of guys exist nowadays! I just wished my future husband wasn't like those guys! I was lost into deep thoughts until i heard my mom calling out to me.

"Ayesha!" my mom shouted. "Jee mom i am coming" I shouted back. My mom was the best mom in the world. She was extremely caring and wasn't really strict. i was blessed to have a mom like her.

I ran downstairs from my room to the sitting room. I saw my mom sitting on the sofa next to my dad. Akram and Asma were also there. Ammarah was probably at school.

I was surprised to see everyone in the sitting room.

"Yes mom?" I said. "Sit down dear" she said.

I sat down opposite my dad and mom on the single sofa. Akram and Asma sat on another sofa right next to me.

"Alright Ayesha, we have something very important to discuss with you." my mom said.

What did they want to discuss with me? I pondered. I hope it was something good.

I turned to my left to look at Akram. He just smiled. I was relieved! i realised it was definitely not something bad! Everyone looked so happy.

"We want to have a discussion about your marriage." My dad said.

My heart skipped a beat. I was so surprised. I mean i know i always dreamt about marriage but i thought this was happening to soon. I was just 21! I turned to Akram and thought maybe he talked about my marriage with my parents as i always talked about my marriage with him.

He smiled and winked at me. This was definitely his doing! I just stared at him and looked back at my parents who were sitting in front of me.

"So, what are your thoughts about marriage?" my mom asked.

"Well...mom..I..I...Dont you think i am too young for this?"

"Not at all dear! I got married to your dad when i was 19! And you are already 21!"

"But mom I..."

"No ifs and buts. And don't give me any excuse of not getting married! Akram has told me your feelings about marriage."

OMG my bro actually told my parents everything! I was so embarassed. I gave him a death glare and he just smirked.

"Dear, every girl has to get married sooner and later. I think now its your time to get married."

"Yes, your mom is right. And thus we have someone in mind for you." My dad said.

They actually selected a guy for me?! Woah! I can't believe this! I was so shocked!

"What?!" I exclaimed. "You actually found someone for me?!

I had mixed emotions of nervousness, excitement and i was shocked at the same time!

I looked once again at Akram who was sitting on the sofa next to me. But he didn't look back at me for some reason. However I caught Asma smiling at me. I was lost into deep thoughts and just stared at her. She was quite close to me too! But nobody could take my brother's place.

"Yes, his name is Ahmed. He is from a respected family and quite a religious person, Masha Allah"

"And they're coming to see you next Sunday"

I was left flabbergasted! The meeting had already been fixed! I couldn't say anything as I was awestruck. I just carried on listening to what my parents had to say.

For 30 minutes they kept telling me how important marriage is. They tried to persuade me to meet Ahmed. Afterwards, I finally agreed.

Ahmed's POV

I woke up early in the morning and went to the masjid to read my fajr salaah. Apparently I was so tired that I dozed off to sleep right after i came back from the masjid.

I later woke up at 9:30 am. I never ever woke up after 9:30. I could never sleep till 10 or 11 o' clock like the other people.

I headed to the sitting room to eat breakfast. My parents were waiting for me at the dining table.

"Assalamu Alaykum" I greeted.

"Wa alaykumus salaam" My parents replied.

My parents (Suraiya and Hanif), the most important people in my life. I loved them to bits! They have always been extremely supportive. I was pampered by them since childhood as I was the first born!

I remembered they discussed with me about my marriage 2 days ago. We are supposed to go meet her and her family next Sunday.

I sat on the dining table and we had breakfast. Scrambled eggs and chicken sandwiches was on the menu. My favorite food!

We were having breakfast quitely and right then, my mother broke the silence.

"Ahmed, you do remember we have to go to uncle Yahya's house on Sunday right?"

"Yes mom" i replied. Yahya was her father's name. I didn't know her name yet. But I knew her mother and father's name.

My mom once told me that Uncle Yahya has three children. So she had an older brother and a younger sister.

In my family, we were two children. One of them was me, obviously and i also had a younger sister who was two years younger than me, Fatima. She got married last year when she was 22. She is now 23 and I am 25. She moved to Malaysia after she got married. On the other hand, we are staying here in Cape Town, South Africa.

I am an electrical engineer. My parents always wanted me to become a successful engineer and make them proud. I also enjoyed my job. It never felt like I was doing work. That's how much I enjoyed what I did.

We owned a restaurant too. My parents used to go to the restaurant everyday to kill time. Our restaurant's name is "The Siddiqui Restaurant" Siddiqui is our surname.

I was satisfied with my life. I would probably get married soon too, Insha Allah.

After breakfast I headed to work. I came back around 6 in the evening. Afterwards, I had dinner. I later laid on my bed thinking about my marriage. I just kept thinking how 'she' would be. I was lost in thoughts and didn't even realise when I fell asleep.
