Ok so this chapter is a filler, I did not want to start an new massive chapter but I loved writing this.

Chapter 3

I walked down to the drawing room of which Hayley was sitting in reading off her laptop. I zoomed over behind her and read. “BabyNames.com.”

“You that far ahead? Not long ago I thought you wanted to give up on that child.” I asked cheekily from behind her, she jerked up and immediately closed the lid.

“Will you stop doing that, I already get it enough from Klaus, I don’t need any more of it from you.” She said defensively, I smiled sheepishly and muttered a sorry before going to sit on the couch in front of her.

“Speaking of Klaus” I sighed “where is he and Rebekah?”

“They went out, don’t know where, I suppose Klaus spying on Marcel and plotting his takeover of New Orland’s. Don’t know where Rebekah is, but she left you to ‘baby sit me’” she said scoffing like she didn’t need protection. I rolled my eyes and wandered over to the lonely book shelf that sat in the corner of the room, picking out a book and sitting back down with it about to read before Hayley interrupted.

“So, I heard you fell in love." She said I looked up at her with suprise.

"Where did you get that impression?" I asked frowning, she held up a leather bound journal.

"Elijah's journal he mentioned you in..." before she could finish Nikol had tried to snatch the book, Hayley stoped and held it out of her way. Hayley then flipped the page to an entry.

"November 24th 1599, Today there was a ball to celebrate Klaus and his great victory in leading the barbarians away from their homeland. The night was full of dancing and music, happyness that could not possibly come from my dear brother Klaus. This ball was of no importance, what was special though was seeing a smile on my dear sister Nikol's face. I have not seen it in a long while, that smile could light up a whole room if it were possible. I must know who this man is who can make my sister act in such away."

"Says here his name is Jay, so was he a vampire?” Hayley asked eagerly.

“No” I replied vaguely starring at my book.

“You know reading a book upside down is the first sign of not reading the book at all” she said it took me a few seconds to realize before flipping it the other way.

“So, Jay, you guys party or what?” she asked, I looked up at her squinting my eyes.

“Hayley, if you want a tragic love story go ask Rebekah she has quite a few tales” I said frowning into my book which was opened a few pages in. Who was this Bella chick.

“Come on Nikol, I’m stuck in this house all day with nothing to do and no one to see apart from that bastard brother of yours, your bitch of a sister and you the clueless Buck Rodgers.” As if to prove her point I frowned at this last comment.

“You know you’re not really getting me to like you Hayley” I said my full attention now off the book.  I sighed surprisingly feeling about ready to talk to someone I hardly know, about it. In fact the was the only one I hardly knew there were only four people in the world I actually knew who were still alive.
