Ellery, Sam and Casey were back at Sam's house. They had ordered pizza and eaten more than they should've and Ellery was currently hunting through Sam's cupboards for blankets to cuddle up under and watch movies.

She was descending the stairs with a huge bundle when her world started to sway. Ellery missed a step and stumbled slightly, but she caught herself and took a few deep breaths then carried on.

"Hey, Elle, you okay?" Casey asked when Ellery returned with the blankets.

"Yeah," Ellery smiled and blinked a few times.

"You sure?" Sam called, narrowing her eyes at her friend.

"I-" Ellery suddenly got very hot and her head was filled with a loud noise. Her vision started to fade and suddenly there was nothing.

"I'm fine!" Ellery said and sighed as Sam and Casey marched her up to her house. Sam hit the front door numerous times and tapped her foot impatiently. "Guys, you didn't need to take me home-"

"Shut it," Sam said sternly. "You fainted. Literally fell right in front of us. That's not normal."

"My brothers will just make an unnecessary fuss-"

"Good," Casey said. "As much as you moan about them they care about you, more than you seem to care about your own health."

"He's right, and when do I ever agree with Casey," Sam nodded. "Your brothers are dicks, but caring ones."

The front door swung open and Sam frowned when she saw Amelia.

"Who the hell are you?" Sam asked.

"Hi, I'm Amelia," Amelia said brightly.

"Oh shit, you're one of the people living here," Sam said and waved her hand dismissively. "Move, we need one of the dicky brothers."

"No, we don't-"

"Ethan!" Casey yelled when he spotted Ethan's dyed white blond hair.

Alec bet Ethan wouldn't dye it.

Alec was wrong.

"Why does my sister look shit?" Ethan called and walked up to the front door.

"I do not look shit," Ellery defended herself.

"What's wrong with her?" Ethan asked and suddenly it clicked. "Did she faint?"

"Bingo," Sam nodded and gently pushed Ellery towards Ethan. "Collapsed right in front of us. Not very fun to witness."

"Try living it," Ellery groaned and rubbed her head.

"You said you felt fine," Casey said and narrowed his eyes.

"She lies," Ethan said. "A lot. She thinks we don't notice. We do."

"I don't!" Ellery gasped.

"Girl, you could be bleeding out and still say you're fine," Sam scoffed. "Will she be okay?"

"When she takes her tablets she will be," Ethan said and rolled his eyes. "Cheers, Casey, for bringing her. And you, Sam."

"She ruined our movie night," Sam said. "She better be okay for school tomorrow as punishment."

Ellery rolled her eyes. "I'll be fine, I just need to lie down," she said and gripped her brother's arm. She was still swaying and felt very unsteady on her feet.

Not that she'd admit that.

"Then go do that and we'll see your cute little ass at school tomorrow," Casey said.
