"I'm fine, stop fussing!" Ellery insisted as she entered her house. "Trent, I'm fine.""You were attacked, you're not fine," Trent said and Ellery flinched when the door slammed loudly behind them.
"Please say no one heard that," she whispered and groaned when she saw all of her brothers appear.
"Thank God," Logan sighed and walked up to Ellery, pulling her into a hug. "You had us worried sick, are you okay? How badly are you hurt-"
"I'm fine," Ellery said. "It wasn't that bad-"
"Don't," Logan said sternly as he inspected Ellery's injuries. "Don't lie, we're not going to believe you. It was bad. Be truthful with us, Ellery."
Ellery looked up at smiled sheepishly. "I'm a little sore," she admitted.
"Then we'll hug gently," Miles said and hugged his sister.
"We're glad you're safe," Alec said and hugged Ellery after Miles.
"So am I," Ellery nodded and Ethan walked up and squeezed his little sister tight.
"I never knew I could worry so much about you, squirt," Ethan said.
"Oh, I could," Cameron muttered and wrapped his arms around Ellery. "We're so glad you're okay."
"I think I just need to go lie down," Ellery said.
"Come on, I'll take you," Cameron said.
"No, you're just going to moan at me," Ellery groaned.
"Ellery, you're hurt!" Cameron said. "We'll moan at you when you're better. Let's get you upstairs, it's late and you need to rest."
Ellery sighed and nodded. "Okay."
"Quick question," Ethan called. "Who's shirt are you wearing?"
Ellery looked down at the long shirt. "Er, Jace's."
"Of course you're wearing Jace's shirt," Cameron muttered.
"Trent can take me upstairs," Ellery said to Cameron. "He won't yell at me or make sly little digs-"
"I'm not going to do that!" Cameron argued.
"You will," Trent called. "We'll both go with you, Elle. Everyone else can go back to bed."
"Lets go," Cameron said and gently tugged Ellery forward.
"Just shout if you need any help," Logan said and and kissed Ellery's head before walking off.
"Come on," Trent said and he fell in step beside Ellery and Cameron as they walked away from their brothers.
"What happened, Elle?" Cameron asked quietly.
"I was attacked," Ellery said simply and she groaned in pain when she started to climb the stairs. "And Jace saved me."
Cameron quickly lifted Ellery up and easily made it up the stairs before putting her back on the ground. "What was Jace doing there?"
"He lived near to where it was happening," Ellery said. "He heard me scream."
"Did they..." Trent gulped. "Did they-"
"They were going too," Ellery said. "Jace got there before they could do anything else."
"Good," Trent said stiffly and they finally reached Ellery's room.
"I'm fine by myself guys," Ellery said as she opened her door.
"We're staying with you," Cameron said firmly.
