I've had this in my notes for a while, thought I'd upload it ! :)

Ellery had woken up early, had a coffee and gone for a run.
She had also stopped off at McDonald's but no one needed to know that small detail.
The sun was rising as she ran back along the long dirt path that led up to her house- mansion.
Her parents thought that being super rich made up for them not being around.
Ellery would rather a cuddle than money from her so called parents but she knew that would never happen.
Ellery slowed down when she spotted an unfamiliar jeep parked in front of her house and she frowned. Why did they have visitors this early in the morning?
She wiped her sweaty forehead and jogged up to her front door, not expecting to be met with two pairs of eyes that were glaring at her.
"Where have you been?"
"Where the fuck have you been?"
The first question came from one of her brothers Trent.
The second and more ruder version of the same question came from Cameron, another of her brothers.
The three of them were actually triplets.
"Woah," Ellery said and held her hands up. "I was out for a run, like every other morning. Chill, guys."
"We heard you leave," Cameron snapped, "two hours ago!"
"We thought you'd gotten hurt," Trent said more softly.
"I stubbed my toe, but that's the worst," Ellery said with a small smile. "Sorry, I must've lost track of time."
"It's fine, you're back now," Trent said, but Cameron just rolled his eyes.
"Who's car is that? And come to think of it, what are you doing awake this early?" Ellery asked and kicked off her trainers.
"Remember the kids of mum and dads friends, we met them when we were like five, we told you they were going to come and stay with us?" Trent said.
"Oh gosh, I completely forgot about that! Are they here?" Ellery said.
"Sadly," Cameron muttered.
"Yeah, they arrived not long ago," Trent nodded. "The twins are talking to them."
"Can I meet them?" Ellery asked hopefully. "It'll be nice to see some new faces-" She stepped forward, but Cameron grabbed her upper arm and pulled her back.
"No," he said sternly.
"What? Why?" Ellery asked.
"Just, not now," he said stiffly.
"Cam-"
"Why don't you go and clean up first, yeah?" Trent said, his tone soft, but Ellery knew this wasn't a suggestion.
"What's up with you two?" Ellery questioned. "I know Cam's usually miserable but this is different."
"Just go to your room, Elle," Trent said. "Please?"
Ellery looked at her two brothers with a frown. "Okay," she said slowly and grabbed her trainers from the floor and walked away from Trent and Cameron. As she walked down the hallway she heard voices coming from one of the lounge rooms and she slowed down as she passed the open door, spotting her two older brothers- twins- Ethan and Ashton- talking to three people, two guys and a girl. Ellery frowned when she saw that Ethan and Ashton seemed very tense.
