-Are you ready?-

-Nope...-

Alex smiled.-I'll be right behind you...-

-No, you have to make sure they don't trace us!-Tess argued.

-Fine!-

She nodded then made a scared face and exited the vehicle.

She immediately spotted her father in the nearest car.His look froze as he watched her.

She could almost see him screaming to the headphone in his ears.

Tess walked slowly and picked up the money bag.Remembering how they know to put locators in the bags she opened it and searched it thoroughly.

She found seven locators.

Tess threw them in to the dumpster and carried the money back to the van.

Just to make the scene Alex roughly opened the door and pulled her in there.

-Ow!-

-Change your clothes, I don't want you to get recognized.-

Tess nodded.She quickly got dressed in to more causal outfit.

She now wore sweatpants and a matching shirt with a hood.

She quickly covered her face under the hood but it was still not enough.

-Here put these on.-Alex gave her a pair of sunglasses.

Tess nodded and hid her eyes under the pair of sunglasses.

Alex parked the van in the underground parking lot.

They exited the van and Tess followed Alex to another car.

-Where are we going?-She asked.

-We're going to get Kate and then we're going to the hospital...-

-Oh!-Tess tried to hide her surprise.

-You didn't believe she existed?-Alex said with a little tone of disappointment in his voice.

-I did it's just I thought you were going to wait a little...-

-There's no time to waste...I want her to be a normal kid, to go to school...-

-Then, what are we waiting for?-Tess smiled.

-Austin, please wake up...-Clair sobbed.

Austin had a broken leg and a broken hand some broken ribs and a fractured skull.

The doctors said it was luck he survived.

President O'Brien slowly entered the room.

-Did you get Tess back?-Clair said full of hope.

But he shook his head.

-He made her get the money, he put a bomb on her Clair, and the worst part is we lost him, Tess threw out all the locators...-

-I can't loose both of my children...-Clair started to sob even harder so her husband hugged her.

Alex stopped the car in front of an apartment building.

-You can come with me if you want...-But Tess shook her head.

She didn't want to expose them to any higher risk.

Alex came back carrying little Kate and Tess immediately noticed the breathing tubes.

He drove to the hospital and carried Kate inside.

Tess followed them carrying the bag with money.

The doctor recognized him and rushed to him.

-I told you already mister Donovan no money, no surgery!-

-We have the money.-Tess said.

The doctor looked at her.

-An who are you?-

-Irrelevant.-Alex quickly interrupted him.-I want to know when you'll be able to do the surgery?-

-I already have the lungs, so probably the next Thursday...-

-If you do it today you'll get a bonus.-Tess boldly said.

-What?-

-I promise you that if you do it today you'll get a bonus...-

-And what sum are we talking about?-

-One million dollars.-

The doctor glared at her and then nodded.

-I have some spare time right now, I'll get the OR ready...-

The doctor signaled Alex to follow him.

-Here, take the money, I should probably get out of here, I don't want anyone to recognize me.-

Alex nodded and took the money, but before she could go, he grabbed her hand and laid a kiss on her forehead.

-Thank you for this Tess...-He whispered.

They followed the doctor and Tess tried to get out.

But someone caught her eye.

It was the secret service agent, he was carrying a cup of coffee.

She followed him, and saw him entering a room.

With just a glimpse she noticed Her mother and her father.The person that was ill was out of her sight.

Tess tried to get closer but she was to careless and the other agent spotted her.

-Get away from here kid!-

He somehow managed to pull the Hood off her head, but he still didn't recognize her.

With all the fuss outside her father, exited the room.

-What's going on here?-

-I caught this little snitch trying to find a way in.-The agent nodded towards Tess who tried really hard not to look up.

-Why are you wearing sunglasses?-The president asked.

Tess didn't reply so he ordered the agent to take them off.

In one swift move he took the sunglasses and pulled her head upwards.

A sharp sight let loose from her father.

-Tess!-He almost screamed as her hugged his daughter.

But at the same time they heard Clair's painful screams and the sound the heart monitor makes when the heart stops beating...
