Part 15

After hours of begging and fighting with her father he finally accepted the fact Alex was going to join them.Tess was happy and cheerful, but she still needed to find out what was going on with her uncle Peter.

As they were leaving the house (Alex, would be waiting for them at the camp site with David) the president's phone rung.

He need to go back to work and told his brother to drive them to the camp site.

It wasn't a long trip, but still Tess felt like it took forever to get to the camp grounds, because of the silence.Even Ava's talk was swallowed by the heavy silence in the car.

As they approached the camping grounds they saw David and Alex talking.When they saw them David made a huge smile, but Alex wasn't happy.

He immediately took Tess to talk with her on private when he got the chance.

-Why did you call me here, you said it was important?-

-We're camping, but as I can see you didn't bring anything with you...-Tess noticed that the others were starting to put up tents so she showed Alex the little Forest rode.-Shall we?-

Alex sighed and started walking down the forest rode.

-Why are you avoiding me?-Tess asked quietly.Although they were alone she never knew who might be listening.

-I'm not avoiding you I have a restrain order...-

-That's just and excuse to avoid me...Alex, I forgave you...-Tess grabbed his hand but shoved it away.

-How can you forgive me...I did a terrible thing, and now I have a guilty conscience...-

-You did it to save your sister Alex!-

-Still, I should be behind bars...-

Tess grabbed his hand and pulled him to her so they were a few inches away from each other.

-Don't ever say that!Nothing bad happened to me...-

-What about Troy?-

Tess didn't answer.She remembered the only kidnapper she'd love to be in jail now.

-What about that time when I wanted to know your real name?-Alex whispered.

Images popped out, in Tess' mind.She shook her head.-I don't care...-

-Alex shook his head walking away from her.

She ran and pulled him back to her again.-Alex, I don't care...-

Without a warning he kissed her but it wasn't a passionate kiss.

She was stunned, and didn't know what to do.

-And then her world collapsed as she heard a gunshot, and a big red spot appeared on Alex' shirt.

Then she started screaming as Alex fell down...

---A few minutes earlier at the camp site...---

-We have to go m'am...-

-How is my husband?-Clair asked one of security guards.

-We don't know, we only know that there is an assassin within the Withe House, and is threatening the president's life.-He answered.-now please we need to go.-

They all entered the car when Ava stopped them.

-Wait where are Tess and Alex?!-

The guards looked stressed but both Clair and Ava were reluctant to go without Tess.

Just as the guards agreed who'd guard them and who'd go looking for those two they heard a gun shot followed by a loud scream

I'm just rushing to finish this book, so probably Part 16 will be the final part and I'm still iffy on weather to writ an epilogue or not...
