Summer Camp(A Nalu, Gruvia, Gale, Jerza, Miraxus fanfic)

Chapter 16

Lucy's POV
"Guys look who's here!" Nastu practically screams whole pointing in our direction. I sweat drop.

"Ahh man why do they have to show up now?" I complain.

"So you wanna hit up the basketball court later?" Natsu asks with a toothy grin. I sweat drop.

"Sorry we're gonna be busy later." I reply.

"What about tomorrow?"

"We're busy tomorrow too. Actually I think we're gonna he busy the rest of the summer. Sorry!" I try to wave goodbye but Erza stops me in my tracks and whispers in my ear that we should play some basketball with them.

I consider grabbing her shoulders and shaking them while screaming at her that she's ruined my life, but decide that's a bit dramatic.

"Looks like my schedule just got cleared. We can play some ball later I guess." I inform Natsu, with much sorrow might I add.

I'm hoping he'll notice that I don't really wanna play and let me get out of it, but ultimately decide that he's too dense to realize.

"Sweet! See ya later then!" And with that him and the boys walk off to order there food.

I sigh in relief and turn back to Erza with a harsh glare.

"What?" She says innocently

I groan when I realize there's nothing that I can do and head out of the mess hall and towards the cabin. I immediately hop onto my bed and grab my laptop to try and do more research on the author of that book.

It's been about and hour and a half and I finally gave up on researching for today. Shutting down my laptop, I put it inside the drawer on the end table, located next to the bed. The girls showed up about half an hour after me and have been playing this "would you rather" game that Mira suggested.

It was about 12:00 and I figured since I have nothing else to do I might as well get ready. Plus if the boys aren't there yet we can practice our shots for a little bit.

As if reading my mind Erza decides to speak. "We should start getting ready for basketball now."

"Awwe but Erza~! I'm not good at basketball." Levy complains.

"But you made the varsity team your first two years of high school." Mira sweat drops.

"I'm not athletic." Levy counters. I find there bickering amusing seeing as Mira will most likely win this argument. But watching Levy struggle was kinda funny. They went on with Levy and Mira counter-attacking each statement. Then Erza decided to step in.

"That's enough. Get ready. Now. We have work to do." Erza, as she is, takes this as serious as she would take a game.

I sighed and got ready, dressing in a sports bra with a loose thick strapped baby pink tank top and some neon green basketball shorts. I threw on some crew cut socks and sneakers and waited for the others to get ready.

By the time we got to the basketball court the guys were there already warming up. Erza had told them that we wanted to warm up a little bit and they let us use half the court.

After about 5 minutes we decided we were good and started the game.

It was pretty intense and seemed as if the boys were trying harder than they did last time. Maybe it was because they only won by 10 last time, and were expecting more.

I was running up and down the court, sweating more than what's probably healthy and was breathing heavy.

I already knew the guys were ahead of us by a large number because we barley got the ball this time. And when we did, it was extremely hard to make a basket with the boys' heights.

After a while the game ended and it was 16-42, us of course being the 16. I immediately walked over to Juvia and got a bottle of water, chugging more than half in one sitting.

"Hey you guys wanna hang out for a little bit?" Natsu suddenly asked. I turned to look at him and saw Erza already answering for us. She had told them that we could hang out for a little bit before we decided to have lunch.

I was shocked that Erza would say yes to there suggestions twice in one day. I mean Erza isn't a sociable person, well that I know of.

And maybe that's what she's trying to do...maybe I should do that too. I was sort of mean to Natsu when I first met him. And he was just trying to be nice.

"Alright! Let's go swimming!" Natsu cheered jumping in the air, pumping his fists. We all agreed and started heading towards the beach. Natsu and Gray ended up running though, because Natsu bet he could beat Gray there.

"Idiots." I heard Laxus mumble under his breath. I giggled and continued to walk to the beach.

Erzas POV
I know all the girls must not understand why I agreed for us to hang out. One of the main reasons I'm doing it is because of personal reasons.

I've been student body president for three, hopefully four years in a row and I still don't know everybody, let alone everyone in just my class. I'm about to be a senior and I realize that it is important to have a good relationship with all the students, especially if I have to make an important decision.

We finally made it to the beach and immediately everyone started stripping into swimsuits that just magically appeared. I sweat dropped.

Since I didn't bring a swimsuit I decided to sit on the sand and watch them all have fun.

I saw Natsu splashing Lucy and she was splashing back while laughing. I think that's the first time I've saw Lucy smile genuinely since we got here. I looked over to Levy and saw her hanging out with Juvia in the water.

Suddenly I found someone sitting next to me. I stiffened when I saw Jellal sitting at least a half a foot away from me. It was still too close. I was about to get up and leave, before I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Erza wait! Can we talk?" His voice sounded desperate. I almost wanted to hear him out. But I just couldn't forget all the awful things he had done.

"You had your chance when we were kids. And you lost that chance when you shoved me out of your life for your own selfish reasons."

"Please! Erza-"

"I have nothing more to say."

I decided to walk back to the cabin alone, to calm down while the girls had there fun.

I just couldn't ruin there fun because I was in a bad mood.

Lucy's POV
I sweat dropped when Gray and Natsu started fighting again over something ridiculous. I decided to hang out with Levy and Juvia while Natsu and Gray continued there bickering.

When I reached them they were laughing and giggling to each other. Probably about something the boys did.

When I got about 5 feet away they noticed my presence and waved at me. I waved back and sat down in the shallow water, next to them.

"Hey Lu!" Levy smiled. Juvia waved.

"Hey guys. The boys started arguing so I decided to come over here. Plus it sort of got boring anyways." I let out a nervous giggle while scratching the back of my head. The two giggled before we got into a conversation about the camp.

We all shared how we hated that our parents had put us into this camp without telling us. And then we laughed at the similarities we shared.

After a little bit of talking I decided to ask Juvia if she would teach me how to surf.

"Sure Lucy. Let's go get a board real quick."

We walked towards a shack near the water and asked for two surf boards. I got a pink one and Juvia got a black one. We then walked over to the water and I prepared myself for surf lessons.
