Maddox above, but less freckles ^

I'm in the washroom, putting on some concealer to hide my under eyes and fixing up my hair. Thank god for the invention of makeup.

Waltzing into my room, I choose a pair of black Adidas pants and a forest green t-shirt. The pants hug my legs tightly.

After years of ballet training, my body is toned and my muscles are lean.

My legs are also pretty impressive.

What can I say? I like to show off my asets.

I'm about to leave when my pants feel off, and realize I forgot my packer.

Shit, such a nuisance.

I would seriously consider bottom surgery if the price factor wasn't an issue.

I take one last look in the mirror and feel satisfied with my appearance. Calm and casual.

"Alright hoe, take me to this man."

Ellis looks me up and down, a concerned look on his face.

"What?" I question.

"You're gonna be cold. Wear this."

it doesn't get too cold in Van, but the winds can be nasty.

He hands me a classy white windbreaker and I slip it over my shoulders. "Perfect."

Giving him a smirk, I playfully shove him towards the front door.

Looking to Flys black and white face, I give her a pat.

"Love you toots."

Ellis grabs my hand and pulls me through the door, smiling like an idiot.

Uh oh.

"Can you at least tell me where we're going?"

"It's a suprise."

Ellis has refused to tell me anything in the 10 minutes we've been driving in his red jeep.

If annoying me was his mission, he's succeeded.

I just want to be sitting on my couch snuggled up with Fly.

The things I do for my friends.

My feet were sore from standing all day at the bakery, and from ballet the day before.

I dance at a small local studio, Dance Till You Drop. Cheesy name, but amazing studio.

The owner, Leon, teaches me privately, making sure I'm busting my butt every class. No slacking with Leon.

Unlike most studios, he has extremely reasonable prices, and makes dancing a possibility for me.

Ballet is my outlet.

"Have you eaten today?" Ellis says, breaking my train of thought.

Shit

"I've been snacking a bit, but I could use some grub."

OK, I kind of lied, but he doesn't need to know. It'll just worry him.

He nods and takes a right turn, driving into a timmys drive through.

Knowing exactly what I want, he orders me a B.L.T.

As soon as it's handed through the window, I scarf it down, realizing just how hungry I was.

I need to get a hold on this before it becomes a problem.

If Ellis notices my ravenous eating, which he probably does, he doesn't say anything.

In minutes we're pulling up to the thunderbird track. I wonder if Axel is a runner.

Ellis is sheltering his phone from my gaze, most likely texting this mysterious man.

I smile to myself as I think about a possible relationship.

My last relationship was a brunette named Ana one year ago. It lasted for a few months, but I eventually broke it off.

We just didn't click.

Actually, it was more dramatic than that, but that's a story for another day.

"He's here!" Ellis squeals.

I flinch at his sudden outburst.

He motions for me to get out of the car. I sigh but oblige. I'm too old for this shit.

I shut the car door behind me and flip Ellis off, but immidiately regret it as I turn around.

Facing me is the most beautiful man I've ever seen.

His face looks as if it was chiseled by a god, and his skin is a creamy brown.

I can't help but stare at his unbelievable shoulders and chest. I want to touch him so bad.

"Hey, I'm Axel."

Ohmergod this is Axel! I see now.

I snap my mouth shut, realizing it had dropped open.

"Wow.. I m-mean, h-h-hi." Fuck, I'm stuttering.

Maddox, shake out of it.

I take a deep breath and attempt to pull myself together.

I offer him my hand as confidently as possible.

"Maddox"

He laughs. Oh my god. His laugh.

He's so perfect.

Are you for real Maddox?

I cringe. Why am I being so cheesy. This isn't supposed to happen in real life.

A hand on my shoulder jolts me out of my thoughts.

"Hey Axel. Good to see you again." Ellis coos.

I hate to admit it, but I almost feel jealous of Ellis.

I want Axel so bad.

I didn't believe in love at first sight until one minute ago. I finally understand what all those romantics were talking about.

God, I'm being such a fluff.

"Yea man. I'm glad you could make it." Axel looks at me as he says that last part.

Does he like me? Does he think I'm hot? He is totally in love with me! No, ew. Shut up, Maddox.

I nod, unable to speak. I hear Ellis let out a suppressed giggle. Is it that obvious?

I quickly jab him in the side and motion towards the track.

"Are you a runner?" My voice comes out clear. Yes.

"I am, yea. Ellis and I are actually on the same team. That's how we met."

I thought Ellis just met him? Something doesn't add up. I glare in my best friends direction, but let it go. For now.

"Wanna show me your stuff?" Why did I say that. Oh my god. I feel my face flush. Ellis can barely contain his amusement.

Axel, however, is unphased.

"I'll race you to the concession. I'm starving."

Axel sure is good at breaking tense moments. My kind of man.

For once, I'm thankful for Ellis and his unpredictable behaviour.

I stand for a moment as the two sprint off, taking a look at Axel's ass. God Maddox. Really.

I bolt towards them.

"Wait! I wasn't ready!"
