Chapter 8-Rescue?

Artemis's POV

I get ready my bow and arrows. Time to kick some bad guy butt. I am so gonna take down the injustice league for hurting Wally. I walk outside to the briefing room where Batman is waiting with everyone else except Robin. When he finally comes, Batman briefs us on our mission. "This is just a rescue mission so I forbid you all to try fight the injustice league. The league will take care of them another time. For now,Only fight back if completely necessary. If you find something suspicious, Leave it. The main priority is to find Kidflash.Am I clear?" He stares at me, Robin at Aqualad. "Yes Batman." We all mummer. "Good. Take the Bioship. Make sure Count Vertigo doesn't spot you. He can and will unmask the ship." Batman says. "Wow he's naggy like my mum. How do you put up with that?" I ask Robin. Robin shrugs and is about to reply when Batman says "And just like your mother I think you would have been taught better to respect your elders." Robin and I grin sheepishly and we all head to the Bioship. "You're going to kick the Injustice league's butts aren't you?" M'gann asks. "No duh." I say, quoting Wally. "They are gonna pay." Robin says. "Remember what Batman said-" Kauldar begins when I cut him off "Yeah mum I get it can we go now?" M'gann laughs and Robin sniggers. "I dont get it he's not your mum." Superboy says. That makes us laugh harder.

When we reach the Injustice league's headquaters, (Coordinates sent kindly by Batman) Robin disables the security systems and Conner scans the area with his X-ray vision and gives us the all clear. We all sneak in and communicate telephatically. "Okay Robin, Artemis,go look in sector D. M'gann and Superboy will look in Sector C
and I will look in sector A. Do not look in Sector B as that is where the Injustice League's chambers are. Understood?" Kauldar says telepathically. "What are the chances they actually will be asleep?" I ask. "With the Injustice league, you never know. My guess is zero out of a hundred." Robin says. "Hello Megan! I can try sense them!" M'gann exclaims. After a moment of silence, She finally says something. "Everyone but Count Vertigo is in their chambers. I can also sense the presence of other people here but I can't identify them." "Must be Wally! What if they kidnapped someone else too!" Robin says. "Lets find out." I say. "it is agreed. Sound the alert when you find Wally." Kauldar says and we all go our ways. Robin and I sneak into Sector A and find a giant computer. "Time for some hacking. Cover me Arty." Robin says and plugs something into the computer and does some stuff. "Dont call me that." I scrowl and put my hands on my hips. First Wally now Robin. Great. Just great. "Just do it." Robin says. "Fine fine I'll do it." I scrowl. I look around. "Woah look at this."robin says. I walk to the computer. "Project Clones? What are they doing? Are they cloning people?" Robin asks and types something in the computer. "Acess denied." Comes a monotone computer voice. "Not for long.." Robin frowns and types some stuff into the computer. "Thats weird. Normally I would get all the info by now." He says. I roll my eyes. "Just hurry up its boring." "Why dont you..look around? You can try find Wally at the same time." Robin says. I nod and start looking. There are corridors everywhere and doors after doors. This will be a long night. I check the first door. Jammed. Second. Nothing inside. Third. Its locked. Not for long I smirk and think as I use one of my arrows to pick the lock. I am shocked by what I see. Its Wally! He looks terrible! His costume is all bloodied and cut everywhere, he has cuts everywhere and he's panting. "Wally!" I yell and run to him. "Hey Arty. Miss me?" He asks. I ignore him. "We need to get you to the others!" I say. "Okay Artemis ." He smiles sweetly at me. I narrow my eyes. This is not Wally. He would never stare at me sweetly. It must be a clone. "You're not Wally!" I yell. "You're a clone aren't you?" "Yes he is and you will have one too soon." A voice sounds behind me. I scream as Something hard hits my head and abdoemen and I feel blood oozing. I fall to the floor and black out.
