Chapter seven

Pov: J Pov

We walked out of the little waiting room, mom had said nothing' thought out the whole thin' I don't even know why she came.

The corridor we were walking down looked ordinary enough; the walls were all white with a blue band along it at about shoulder height. At the end of the corridor was a door above the door was a big sign it read, private ward. Now why would my friends be brought to the private ward? They aren't rich or important just normal kids.

Walking' into the room the first thin' that caught my attention was that both Ben and Kyle were awake. I ran to their sides, started to say something' but nothing' came out. I stood there just looking' at them; they were in terrible shape.

"Hey captain." the name shocked me. They only call me that on the field, things must be bad. I looked down to see who had spoken, it was Ben, his voice was barely above a whisper, the weakness that he showed was killing' him it was plain on his face. When I was finally brave enough to look into his eyes, I saw the eyes of a scared broken little boy. It was those eyes that tortured me every time I looked into them. Little did I know that those eyes would haunt me for the rest of my life, and pelage me with guilt. When I was sure that my voice would not betray me I finally spoke.

"Who did this to you Ben?"

“I don't know captain. They came from behind, they moved like they were nothing, and spoke in hissed voices like snakes. They are monsters J don't go looking. For them, they wanted you j not me or Kyle, you J, and when they realized that you weren't there they tortured us. Please J don't go looking for them, they will kill you." there was a frantic beeping behind me; I turned to see Kyle panting for air that wouldn't come to his lungs

I wanted to run to his side to talk to him to tell him everything would be okay, but there was something or rather someone stopping me.

"That won't do any good son."

It was like he could read my mind. It was Whittlock that held me bound around the chest while I fought to get to my friends.

"Get him out of hear I need space."

Shouted the doctor, as I was dragged out of the ward there was no way I was leaving under my own free will.
